I've eaten here more than once and I always loved everything, especially the typical Greek dishes like saganaki cheese, cheese balls ans moussaka! I went also with family members who are not gluten free and they loved the food too š
Amazing gluten free foods, especially the Greek pites (spanakopita is incredible!) but also pastries... and really, everything is extremely good. And 100% gluten free!
Nice vegetarian and vegan spot where the gluten free options are clearly marked on the menu. I honestly expected a broader choice for gluten free, but the soup I got (spicy thai) was not disappointing - very very tasty! They also have gluten free desserts and beer.
Brilliant Italian restaurant. Close walk to the city centre (10 minutes), great food including a gluten free pasta meal which is the best Iāve ever had! Service was terrific and everyone very friendly. They could maybe do with a kids option sized pizza but apart from that faultless.
I really really love this place and came back two more times while I was in Athens! Such a great find for anyone with dietary restrictions/allergies. So many delicious food options that are 100% vegan and already gluten free or can easily be altered to be gluten free (fresh salads, buddha bowls etc), a huge smoothie/juice/acai menu and the owner is LOVELY! All the staff speak great english so it was super easy as a tourist. It was perfect for a 33 degree day and the food was delicious. 100% recommend to anyone, I came for lunch, returned for dinner the same day and I already have plans to come back for breakfast!
Review for Restaurant Gi ā Surprisingly Good & Healthy
Based on the many positive reviews, we tried Gi ā a modern, vegan restaurant that completely won us over. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasantly relaxed.
Although I normally enjoy meat, I was really impressed: The dishes were creative, delicious, and perfectly seasoned. I was particularly surprised by the "Frikadellen" made with lentils ā completely gluten-free and vegan, but delicious!
The price-performance ratio here is absolutely right. For me, this was a small introduction to a new direction ā I will be turning to such healthy, plant-based alternatives more often in the future. Gi showed me how good vegan food can taste!š
Very nice food, we went with a large group of people with a person who has a stomach ache and the kids treated him like a king!! He ate a gluten-free burger after 2 years and enjoyed it!!! There were many gluten-free and delicious options. We enjoyed it and when we go to Athens again, the first choice of the whole group will be there! Thank you
Some time ago we visited, after booking, with the husband and a friendly couple A prices and we were very satisfied given the service, quality, taste and price. Lots of gluten free options. We will definitely go again!
High quality ice cream! The staff is very courteous, lots of gluten free options and good awareness for GF - they made sure to use a new spoon (without having to ask them)
We are big fans of Mexican food and regularly prepare it at home. We were excited to try this place on our family trip to Athens, but I gotta say it did not deliver.
I have celiac disease and I'm very sensitive to cross contamination with gluten. This place was recommended as one of the few in Athens where I can safely consume gluten free food safe from cross contamination.
I have to admit extra precautions were taken when I informed the staff of my condition and I felt Ok after the visit. But I was not impressed by the organization and I definitely felt anxious about getting glutened at this place.
Furthermore, the food was below par as quality and taste. I had the tacos with grilled beef steak. The taco shells were old and dry, the typical crispiness was missing. The meat was not well seasoned and had a strange taste. The guacamole was bland, I expected more from a Mexican place.
My wife and daughter were equally not impressed with their food. They were particularly disappointed by the churros.
Overall, it's Ok if you want to try Mexican, but don't expect much of this place.
Excellent service!!! Delicious and attentive food!!! I suffer from celiac disease and I was able to enjoy dishes adapted to my gluten-free diet without second thoughts!!!! I highly recommend it!!!! Thank you very much!!!!
I love Poncho's tacos! It's a charming little hole in the wall. He makes his own masa for his incredible corn tortillas And they are gluten free. His passion for home style Mexican food keeps the menu simple but, sooooo sabrosa as they say. The Pico de Gallo and his 3 levels of salsas are the cherries on top. He can accommodate
vegans and vegetarians. And his take on Margherita's is also great and budget friendly. This is authentic Mexican food. Not the Tex-Mex most other places churn out.
Try it.!!!
TheThe food here is so tasty! All gluten free which is amazing for Celiac people! I wish I had taken a picture of the food, but I was too busy enjoying it! Definitely worth visiting!
Super cozy place with a kind of street vibe. It can be a bit noisy, but thatās only because itās busy ā so clearly a popular spot. They also offer gluten-free bread as a substitute, which is a big plus!
We have a child that eats gluten free dishes, the crew made a big effort to satisfy us all, and after serving us great deserts 'on the house', they added some fresh fruits especially for our child.

service is also very good, everyone is very nice.
10/10 would recommend! š
My girlfriend and I which has low level of celiac disease went there after having a reservation, and the restaurant wouldnāt accept to serve us because of her gluten sensitivity and told us to leave after 25 minutes of waiting for service.
Very disappointed from the disgraceful experience.

Too bad it doesn't have more stars to give. An amazing, unique, delicious ice cream in our Athens!!! Makrygianni area near the Acropolis. First time eating ice cream and I can see its ingredients, obviously good raw materials, gluten-free and low-fat. You can see the creation of the ice cream in its open kitchen with its beautiful decoration. You wait in line reverently, you arrive to serve and you are greeted by two incredible girls, calm, polite, smiling and positively predisposing you to what follows. With the first spoon, my palate had a party, I couldn't leave without repeating the divine taste of melon sorbet and raw and salted pistachio!! Epic ice cream, lucky to have tried it, real ice cream, I recommend you go and try it and your palate will have a party too!! Congratulations to everyone who contributed to the creation of this divine ice cream!!!
Really nice spot with lots of tempting dishes on the menu ā itās hard to pick just one! Great service, stylish interior, and they even have gluten-free options, which is a big plus.
Great gluten free options for me (celiac) and the waitress had good knowledge about the menu, which put me at ease. Huge portions for a very reasonable price - in fact I thought it was very cheap! Great atmosphere. I would definitely come back!
Our entire experience was excellent. A small restaurant, we received one-on-one attention from Vasily and the rest of the team. The grilled octopus was the best weāve had in Athens, and the baba ganoush with pita and cucumber slices was perfect for sharing with a vegetarian. We enjoyed the tzatziki with both pita and gluten free toast as a light pairing to a bottle of rose. In all, a light Mediterranean meal in the shadow of the Acropolis, with excellent service!
We went on a rainy Sunday early at 1:30 PM and found a table on the sand. We got saganaki, french fries, chef's salad, pork bekri meze, stuffed brisket, pork pancetta, 2 Pepsi, half a kilo of white wine, a couvert with 6 large slices of bread (4.5ā¬), 1lt of water (1.5ā¬) and in total we paid 78.4ā¬. Everything was delicious. The baking was very correct, quality ingredients that stand out, the salad was light enough without weighing you down. The saganaki didn't melt, it was more chewy. Personally, I would have liked to finish the appetizers first and then have the main courses brought to us so they wouldn't get cold. But then the shop filled up both inside and out, so it wouldn't be that easy. At the end, they treated us to small homemade and crispy donuts like bites. Half with honey and cinnamon and the other half with chocolate. What impressed me was the mention in the menus of vegetarian and gluten free dishes with the corresponding sign. Finally, the staff, before we asked them, brought us a bag and a small container for takeaway. Excellent service and clean toilets.
