A great chippy with a good understanding of the needs of people who need a gluten free diet. It is quite a distance to call there, but the journey is worth it.

We have just come back from a lovely evening meal at the Calf's head. To start, I cannot comment on the rooms of this establishment as this is not the reason for attending. Upon walking in the servers were attentive, sat us down at a table of our choosing in an area which I presume is suitable for dogs as it's the only place the server told us to sit, also wasn't busy at this time. I did book ahead earlier on in the day and mentioned we will be bringing our dog with us and also I would need a gluten free menu. Our server took our drinks order which came promptly and to our satisfaction. Ordered meals which was easy through the same server who sat us and took our drinks menu. The menu was good, great selection, and also catered for gluten free and vegetarian food which had a separate menu. We noticed that the prices were high but then as our meals arrived it was blatant why this was so. Meals were served hot, tasty with lovely flavours, and to a very good portion size. We did see many other servers around and even had a couple of others tend to us, as we finished our meal our plates were taken away and we were asked if we would like desserts which we said yes to, however this is where the service slowed down, we waited a fairly long time 15-20 after our mains had been taken away, with nobody seeing to us and this is where we walked to the bar to pay and leave. We left happy but could have been better if we had finished off with a dessert or maybe even a coffee.

We went inside of this cafe and we greeted by lovely staff and as me and my daughter have a gluten free diet we asked if they cater for gluten free and we were told yes. Once sitting my daughter asked for a Gluten free toastie and the lady who served us said the bread is gluten free but the toasties machine is shared, my daughter decided to only have chips as she does get quite alot of pains from gluten. ( if you are very Intolerant or have coeliac disease I wouldn't eat her unfortunately as it is a shared environmentwith gluten products). We had 2 paninis with ham and cheese, one gluten free tuna mayo sandwich, 3 portions of fries and 4 cans and it came to £39.95 which I feel is alot for what we received. The food was okay and kept us going but unfortunately we wouldn't go back due to the gluten and price.

They have plethora options in breakfasts, lunches, and cakes, as well as deli items to takeaway. They also have a selection of vegan and gluten-free options. If you're looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in Gisburn, the Delicious Deli and Cafe is a great option.

Lovely little village cafe who also make the most amazing cakes. I have ordered a birthday cake from here and also popped in for brunch and a slice of cake and everything is always delicious. They are one of the few gluten free and veggie places to get food for the sweet tooth people like me so if your in the ribble valley, I definitely recommend popping by!

The best Spanish restaurant I have been to in England, I have lived in England for 5 years and I have never found a decent restaurant to eat Spanish food and we have finally found one with a Spanish cook too. Being celiac it is also difficult for me to eat in many restaurants, but in this restaurant almost the entire menu was gluten-free, so I was very surprised for the better. The food was super good, we finished it all. In addition, there were Spanish people working who took care of us and treated us very well. We will definitely be back very soon.
