We visited Platform as part of a Hen party and had such a lovely experience. The cream tea was delicious with plenty of food for everyone, good for vegan and gluten free options and the atmosphere was exactly what we wanted, relaxed, welcoming, and family-friendly.
The staff were so kind and accommodating, even when we had a bit of a medical emergency within our group, which did throw us all off a little. One of the waitresses calmly suggested we take our friend to the nearby minor injuries unit rather than A&E, which turned out to be great advice, it was a quick visit, and our friend was absolutely fine and able to return and enjoy the rest of the day and night out with us, without any more shocks or wobbles, unless you count all our dodgy dancing.
What really stood out was that the restaurant even called us later that evening to check in and make sure our friend was doing okay. That thoughtful gesture really impressed us.
We’d definitely recommend Platform. The Hen and our friend are already laughing about the whole situation.
