would not recommend for people with Coeliac disease. I went there for my 22nd birthday last year and got glutened. I ordered the brownie with Custard. Every other time I have ordered the brownie I usually get it with ice cream. When I double checked with the staff if it was gluten free, they confirmed. I assure you, this is NOT GLUTEN FREE! This happened twice and I suffered from it for 8 weeks! Would not go back for food.

The you lady behind the bar who served us was exemplary in every way tbh. She was cheerful, polite, professional, and really efficient, especially given she was the only person behind the bar that day and it was clearly a really busy time.
We were grateful our request for a quiet spot had been accommodated as we're both autistic and have auditory processing disorder - it meant we could enjoy conversation because there wasn't music playing near to us. We noticed the speakers in our whole area had been turned off, thank you so much X
Her knowledge of the gluten-free range was excellent too (really large range of options, including several desserts, thank you!!)
Speaking of the menu, there's only one minor suggestion I'd like to give (and is the reason we're not big pub grub eaters) and that some veggies on the Sides menu. Just a steam bag of mixed veg would do, but something to round out the meat and chips would make it absolutely perfect and mean we'd definitely be more regular visitors, because what we ate was fantastic.
This charming cafe offers a lovely, chilled atmosphere ideal for a relaxed gluten-free breakfast or lunch. The clean, family-friendly setting includes baby changing facilities, while the attentive staff ensure gluten-free options are thoughtfully accommodated, enhancing the overall experience.

Lovely staff even when really busy in a Saturday morning we’re able to check what gluten free items were available. Staff also advised to check with them if what I wanted could be made gluten free to accommodate most of the menu! Food was lovely couldn’t tell was gluten free bread. Thank you x

It seems a strange business decision to change a menu that no longer caters for people with Coeliac disease. It is disappointing as we used to enjoy eating here.
