I visited the Mermaid Bar and Restaurant for the first time this evening, after many a recommendation. It certainly lived up to its expectations. The venue itself was beautiful, the welcome was amazing, the cleanliness, the atmosphere was spot on. We were seated, and then had the best customer services from both waiters and the waitress or shift this evening. So helpful, polite and friendly. We felt really welcome. The menu had great choices, loads gluten free which was brilliant and when the food came it was well presented and delicious. What a lovely experience and we will be back with friends very soon. Went here multiple times while on holiday. Couldn't get enough of their ice cream! Fantastic that you can build your own "sundae" with custom flavour combinations, toppings, sauce ... Amazing! Fair price for it too. Had lunch there and was very accessible to use the app to order and pay for the food and drinks. There was a minor delay between everyone else's food and the gluten free pizza arriving. But when it's likely they had to decontaminate a space in the kitchen for that food to be prepped, cooked and then stored before serving it was completely understandable. It was busy every day we were there, weekdays and weekends included. Particularly when the sun was out after school. But lovely atmosphere; people from every walk of life and ages. Food was tasty. I had the steak and onion baguette on one day. Was as good as it was last year! Pizzas were also very good, flavourful and not overly oily

Four adults visited the Rok for the first time, (which is a separate resteraunt but part of The Lighthouse building) . We had the Sunday lunch menu and were impressed with the food, service and amazing sea view. My wife requires a gluten free diet and she had a number of options to choose. We will definitely be returning.
