Lovely, attentive and proactive staff. Good gluten free options. But the food here was very disappointing. My Nasi Goreng was nothing like I've had in another lounge. I have to emphasise that front of house staff were really good though. Such a shame the kitchen is letting things down.

We came here for lunch after a walk around Horsell common. My parents have been here multiple times, but this was my first visit and I will definitely be returning. I have coeliac disease, but they advised that the allergens could be found online and that they had gluten free bread and buns to substitute. They also confirmed the chips are fried separate so are safe to eat. Food was delicious and reasonably priced, plenty of choice. They also have a dog menu, which is a nice touch.

Good place for a beer after going to the allotment. Good gluten free options but the buns on burgers are very dry and there's no fish option. Drinks are really expensive. £17 for 3 pints. Kitchen closes really early. We tried to order a dessert at 21:20 and the kitchen was completely shut. We just wanted the pavlova - some meringue, cream and fresh fruit. At any other venue, you can easily order ice cream. Most kitchens stay open for desserts till 10pm.

Two of us are at The Bird in hand on Saturday lunch time. The pub itself is lovely. Great atmosphere, lovely decor and inviting. Our table had been allocated to someone else, but no drama, they quickly found us another one. Hubby’s food was lovely (according to him!). Gorgeous bubble and squeek dish and halloumi bites starter (ok). There was very limited vegan gluten free dishes, so unless they change the menu, I’d avoid if you’re a Vg GF. Although I was impressed they had GF buns and could accommodate a burger, but would have preferred a less predictable more innovative choice. Service was slow, but they were busy and we weren’t in a rush. Much more allergy awareness needed.

Good food, great Gluten Free options. Can get a table easily most of the time, inside or outside. Have been lots of times, it's unfussy fair portion sizes and decent menu.
