We loved a special evening out at McPhee’s to celebrate a family reunion big anniversary. It was a special request, as the happy couple had come here a long time ago during vacation and enjoyed it so much. The staff too great care of us and even managed a gluten allergy. The food and wine were all yummy, too.

Tiny but briny, this bustling seafood hut -- in the Trader Joe's shopping center right off the 101 -- offers great fresh fare, along with a limited but quality selection of local beer and wine. A few tables provide indoor seating, but it's worth lurking on the patio to snag an outdoor umbrella table. Our favorite dish is seafood tacos --soft corn tortillas stuffed with halibut, salmon, cod or shrimp. The requisite shredded cabbage and lime wedges contribute to a tasty meal. Order your fish or crustaceans grilled, and your lunch is gluten free.
