I tasted the worst cheeseburger Iβve had in my entire life at the US Capitol. The patty was overcooked and tasted like cardboard. The salad bar was fresh and tasty, though they were out of several dressings. There are many delicious-looking desserts, but the only gluten-free option was a white chocolate modem of the Capitol dome, which was not very good.

First time here. Partner (who is celiac) & I dined in about an hour before they closed so we weren't sure if they would be happy to see us... we were pleasantly surprised.
I had three chicken tacos, and she had a bowl. She let them know about her gluten allergy and they were already changing gloves before we had the chance to ask them to! You can mark your allergies on the order kiosk but we always like to double check. They were awesome, even this close to closing time.
Tacos were packed full and veggies tasted fresh. Everything was full of flavor, and tables were clean. Will definitely go back next time we're in DC!
I went to Ambar with my friends early Saturday morning. They are extremely efficient and our server Peter (Pex) was AMAZING. He was quick, friendly, and super alert to my gluten allergy. I would highly recommend in terms of the environment and atmosphere. Plus the food was absolutely to die for. I would get the unlimited breakfast tapas style with a bunch of friends with the mimosas!
I forgot to take a picture! Pizza is so good. Good ingredients, good sauce, good cheese. I got the gluten free crust. Itβs a perfect size personal pizza for me. Today was my second time ordering from them and it definitely wonβt be the last. Also they are so friendly. ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½
This place was amazing from the phone call. I called ahead to see if they could accommondate my many dietary needs. I cannot have gluten, canola oil, sunflower oil, or soybean oil. Lauren, one of the hostesses assure me they could accommondate everything. While she strongly suggested to book a reservation, she mentioned there were some spots that are available but on a first come first serve basis. When we arrived we were seated immediately at the community table and had Ian as our waiter who went out of his way to make sure our meal and experience was perfect and it was. He was made away of all my dietary needs which was amazing not to run through that again with a different person. They were able to accommondate just as they said they would. The chef even made up for me a side dish that I could have. I had the beef wagyu which was cooked to perfection and juicy. My husband had the halibut. Now, I don't even like fish, and I thought his dish was amazing. If all fish tasted like that, I would eat fish more often. The portions were a little on the smaller side, but the dishes themselves had excellent flavors. My husband also had the parker rolls with goat butter, the hard apple cider, and the s'more bar. I didn't eat dessert, but the desserts look beautifully presented and my husband raved about it. Also, I never had goat butter before and that was also delicious. What drew me to this place is that from their info on the website said they try to source locally and organic when possibly. This is what we try to do ourselves. We love that this place adopted that as well. The food, service, and the presentation was superior. When we are back in town, we will definitely return. We also got the butterhead lettuce salad and dates too go, which of course was also delicious.
A full sensory experience, our dinner here was one of the best I've ever had. I have celiac, and noted that in my reservation - they accommodated gluten free with no issues. The angel eggs were a whimsical tongue in cheek surprise. I couldn't even describe the crab and grits, and the gluten free biscuit was a perfect pairing. Instead of dinner and a show for a $400-500 night out, consider this your full experience. What a treat!

Super helpful about gluten allergy. They have the gf yucca bread which is great and were very helpful when we called about the allergy. Breakfast sandwiches are great.
Pineapple & Pearls delivers a commanding culinary and memorable dining experience that will leave a lasting impression on you for years to come.
This Michelin 2 star restaurant is a standout that delivers the most perfect mix of fun, culinary creativity, magic, and perfection. Itβs not just a delicious meal, but a dining experience that comes to life with their incredibly amazing food and beverage pairings along with the hospitality of their staff.
P&Ps has an open kitchen so you can watch as they carefully attend to every detail in preparing each item. We sat at the chefs table and it was awesome watching them prepare the food. They accommodated a gluten free dietary restriction with ease.
Lovely cafe! Food was beautiful and delicious. Interior is adorable!
Went for lunch- unfortunately the staff is not super informed on whatβs gluten free but I knew Iβd be safe with the omelette. Looked at the dinner menu and it notes gluten free items (yay!) and I think there may a few more they overlooked labelingβ¦buckwheat for example is a root and not related to wheat.
Will return!
This place consistently blows me away - itβs prices are totally reasonable (especially their wine menu!) and their pasta is excellent. They also cater to gluten free which is such a relief for those of us with dietary restrictions. And the staff is always friendly and accommodating!
We had dinner here for my best friend's birthday! We absolutely loved the service and the atmosphere. My friend's gluten allergy was totally accommodated. We even got a few extra gluten-free treats from the chef, which was such a nice touch! The white rice under the ribs and the caviar/coconut dish were plated oddly (see pictures), but we really enjoyed our bread, drinks, and desserts. The special treat they brought out for my friend's birthday was fantastic! Thank you for a memorable night!
This place is not Celiac friendly. I ordered a gluten free dish and was sick for a day. What a waste! I paid too much for something that made me sick. If you are Celiac or gluten intolerant, this is NOT the place for you.
Eh. You get to build your burger with an array of spices and sauces. Fries are good. There are gluten friendly bun options, which is appreciated. No fountain drinks, all options are bottle or can. Flavorful food but overpriced in my opinion.

Delicious doughnuts, and I love gluten free Fridays- finally fresh donuts for us gluten free peeps. The only complaint is the price (~$4 for one donut!), but they sure are tasty.
Gluten free bread is an option! So I got the tuna sandwich and it was So Good. Downstairs feels like a comfy dim coffeehouse vibe and upstairs transforms into whatever it needs to be. The day I went there were multiple panels for Lavender Con and later a drag show.

Our go-to for Chinese. Location is a nice little walk past the Capitol and Library of Congress, so convenient.
We've been quite a few times, and the staff remembers people who frequent.
Best: Service! Always exceptional.
The white sauce is amazing -- one reason we visit when we can is because we can't seem to duplicate the stuff. It's purely magical. They can help here if you have allergies to things like seafood, nuts, and gluten,
Try the shrimp and vegetables, or chicken and vegetables in the white sauce. Another thing, they are very consistent every visit.
