I typically go to the Kapiolani location, but happened to be in Windward Mall and tried them out. They don't take reservations but it was a weekday evening and I didn't have much of a wait. Great food and lots of fun to grill your own food, and it's the only consistent gluten-free restaurant chain I can take my wife to.
Seemed to have quite a few gluten and dairy free options. We had the cauliflour crust pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms which was delicious! Also had a salad which was very fresh. Looking forward to going back and trying something else! Mahalo for being allergy aware.
Adela’s is 5-star worthy despite us waiting 25 minutes more than expected to get our food.
So that says a lot about the dishes.
Me and my fiancé ordered the Seasonal Special Pumpkin Noodles and the Sweet Potato Noodles with Lechon and Garlic butter. I’ve never quite had anything like it, the textures were to perfection and the flavors were true to its promise.
The portions are very large, so much so that we could’ve just gotten 1 plate and been totally fine for dinner for the both of us. And we’re typically big eaters.
My only qualm with the experience is that they told us it would be 45 minute wait and we waited about 20-25 minutes longer than that.
So the fact that this is still a 5-star review should tell you all you need to know. I saw several smarter locals who have called ahead come in and pick up their order - so if you’re considering eating here that may be the best move, especially given that there is no dine-in option.
Keep in mind - they do not offer gluten-free options for noodles.
Delicious lobster rolls! Enjoyed the lobster salad, melt, and roll! All were good and full of lobster! The best part is they had a nice lobster salad for our celiac gluten free daughter!!!
Delicious food, owners were so sweet and took time to chat. Ordered bahn mi, tofu vermicelli noodles, and curry dish. All was so yummy and so much food. They’re only offering Takeout only right now. Definitely worth a stop feels underrated. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too as well as gluten free.
Our server, Collin was very knowledgeable about Gluten Free options. We had the grilled catch of the day with a macadamia nut pesto. It was delicious and cooked perfectly.
Great tasting food and the staff is super friendly and accommodating with allergies! I have celiacs disease and the chef customized my orders to be gluten free. Delicious fish!
