Having to eat gluten free for the last 10 years has changed the way I feel about pizza, but Monument has made me fall in love with pizza again! I can't wait for their gluten free dessert pie!
I recently tried Caruso's for the first time to meet up with some family for dinner. I have Celiac and I really appreciated that they not only have a gluten-free menu but also they take the food prep seriously to minimize cross-contamination and make sure it's actually gluten free.
Our server, Brady, was great. He was knowledgeable about the gluten free options and made me feel comfortable that they take it seriously. He was very attentive and made sure we were always good and had everything we needed. I drink a lot of water and a pet peeve of mine at restaurants is the slow pace of refills, but I felt like Brady made sure my glass was always at least half full.
The food itself was pretty good. I ordered the gluten-free chicken parm plus they were nice enough to bake fries in the oven to avoid cross contamination in the fryer. The food was good, though I do wish that the portion size for the chicken would have been a little bigger for the price, but I can't really complain about eating gluten free chicken parm! I also really like their red wine list, which was a nice bonus.
Overall, I recommend Caruso's, especially if you are on a gluten free diet. I definitely will return.
What an amazing place to eat! Atmosphere is so cute with the arm and energy the place has! Best vegan place iv been to. Kristi is extremely educated about the menu and does a great job. She was working so hard both times I came in. The Curious George smoothie is fantastic, love their sayings on the cup! Makes your day! The chickpea salad sandwich was sooooo good! I wish we had something like this back home! I drove 45 minutes out of the way just to come to this place lol well worth it! Best gluten free bagel ever and their gluten free tortillas are so good as well. Highly recommend the treats as well, iv never been able to have vegan baked goods, gosh they taste so amazing! Every single one of Kristi’s recommendations were spot on. If I am back in the area I will make the stop!
This place was great. Tons of TVs to catch whatever spotting event you're into, great service, yummy BBQ and even better sauces!
We came for an early dinner and we're very pleased. The owner came over and told us the brisket was smoked for 11 hours and the ribs were double smoked (whatever that means). We had one of each and just.... Amazing! Fall aff of the bone ribs and delightful brisket. The seasoned fries are phenomenal as well, super crispy. The variety of sauces was fun as well.
We heard about, though didn't eat out on the dog-friendly patio.
Salads can be made gluten free (no croutons and such) and fries are cross contaminated in the frier. Meats are a good option. They've also got a few ciders in luding Blake's, which was new for me.
Scoops serve their hand-dipped ice cream in homemade waffle cones and traditional sugar cones and cups.
Scoops offers several non-dairy and gluten-free options, a slush machine, soft serve lemon, and vanilla custard, along with 48 flavors of ice cream.
It is somewhat celiac friendly, I had the fajita and was fine. Don't eat the chips if you are gluten free, they fry their corn chips with their wheat chips.
