Hands down BEST happy hour in Minneapolis!! Awesome selection of quality food and delicious drinks for very low prices. I like the nachos with brisket or chicken, queso dip with chorizo & sangria. Gluten free is easy to accommodate here too.

My wife and I got the veggie sampler for 2 with gluten-free injera. We stuffed ourselves and put enough in out takeaway box for another meal. Very friendly server and tasty food!

Truly the most excellent sushi MN has to offer. If you want deep friend and mayo covered sushi, go somewhere else. They have tons of vegan and gluten free options also, just let them know your dietary restrictions! It's the only place I can comfortably take my stepfather who has celiacs and several other allergies because they're sooo good about food prep! This restaurant is teeny tiny with super hardworking staff (they bus, wash dishes, bartend, host, and serve!! And there are only two chefs!! Wild!!) so sometimes they are out of things or the service is slow. If you can get over the occasional slow service (it's definitely not always slow), you'll be granted the freshest and most authentic experience in MN. The prices are unbeatable for the kind of quality, the staff is quirky and fun, and the owner is a literal god of sushi! An example of the quality (and why you might be waiting a little longer) would be the rolls with cooked parts like tempura or soft shell crab. I worked at a few sushi restaurants and they always make the spider and salmon skin for the rolls before the restaurant opens then it sits in a warmer until you order (ew!!) but at Midoris, each piece of tempura, soft shell crab, and salmon skin is MADE TO ORDER in the kitchen when you order it! Almost all of the sauces are made from scratch! It's truly an unbelievable effort they make to make healthy and fresh food and it's so delicious. So, maybe don't come to this place if you're not used to small businesses or made to order items or the idea of waiting longer bothers you. But if you're patient and have a little time, this is definitely a gem and easily the best sushi restaurant in MN. Bonus points, they're nice to you even if you're disabled, black, brown, queer, or if you're just a bit of a weirdo. In these times, it's important to know you'll be treated the same as other patrons regardless of what you look like or who you are. Edit** Folks who complains about the prices must not have any idea what similar businesses charge.
