What a cute, cozy, concept! This little gem is well worth stopping by if you’re in the area. The service was friendly and the food has a home cooked feel. Inside there’s a bakery case with a variety of fresh baked goods, a coffee station, and cases and cases of refrigerated to go items like chicken salads, pimento cheeses, and frozen versions of entrees they sell on the regular. In the dining area there are shelves of various nick- nacks to buy and even an olive oil station where you can infuse your own oil to buy. Overall, I was impressed and wowed by this one. Cater’s Market, you started my Saturday off right. Glad we found you. I’ll definitely stop by again when we’re passing through. 👍🏽
*Note for my gluten sensitive friends, their hash browns are shredded potatoes cooked in olive oil. As per usual, let them know and they’ll happily point you in the right direction.
EDIT: The mini cannolis are bomb. (Meatballs too.) Go on Tuesday to get a free mini cannoli with takeout orders. Also loved the creamy shrimp pasta.
Enjoyed my food both times visiting Mia's. They've got an eclectic menu, mostly Italian-inspired plus Cajun and American with some creative fusion dishes. They've got options for vegetarians plus gluten-sensitive and keto friendly (cauliflower crust pizza), plus a variety of latte and gelato flavors. Between salads, soup, paninis, sandwiches, pizza, and pasta, there's enough variety that a family with different tastes and dietary needs should be able to find something they like. I got a Chai tea latte to go once and a decaf iced coffee to go the second time. That was nice because it's not always easy to find a restaurant that will also do decaffeinated iced coffee. Music is not too loud. Plenty of seating indoors. Will be back!
I'm gluten intolerant. The waitress was only vaguely familiar with these issues but caught on quickly. The kitchen sent the breaded version of chicken parmesan but quickly sent the corrected meal to replace the wrong order for me. Food was good. Waitress was pleasant. Good experience.
Friendly employees - dairy and gluten free options, but most importantly - honest employees. I saw one return a wallet to a customer who was leaving and left it on the table.
Whether freshly made, cold from the refrigerator or warmed up in the microwave or oven as re-runs (leftovers). The cauliflower crust margherita pizza is amazing. Wish I’d ordered 2 to go! I’m so happy I finally found a place in town that makes great gluten free pizza!!
