I cannot say enough about how much I love this restaurant, the food and the people. My belly and I are so happy that I live 5 minutes away. I have been consistently going to Hermanas since I moved into Lindy a year ago and every time I have been blown away and satisfied with the food, drinks and service. I often do take out and it is well wrapped and ready quick. Their innovative plates are full of flavor and the seasonal ingredients feel very farm to table. Gluten free friendly. The classics I always enjoy are chicken & pernil tacos, the mussels, and wings!! Drinks are also delicious. I recently tried their “Puttin’ 5 Carrots in My Baby Girls Ear” drink and I was skeptical but OMG, turned out to be the best thing I ever tried. The owners and everyone who works at the restaurant are awesome. Snaps all around for Hermanas!!! I wish I had more pictures but I literally inhale the food too fast and forget to snap pictures. Good German restaurant with lots of options. Personally, it's a heavy carb meal, which I've gotten away from. And being gluten free I was hesitant to try typical German fare b/c of flour ingredients. Chonky Cookies are a household name for us – as one of my favorite restaurants/coffee shops on the planet, Soul Brew, is a local vendor of Chonky Cookies and that is where my family and I first discovered them. They are 6oz cookies that are stuffed with magical amazing delicious goodness (Bada Bing is filled with a rainbow cookie, cookies & cream has an Oreo in the middle, Chocolate PB is swimming with PB in the center, etc.).
I reached out to Heather and was ecstatic that she’d be able to help us craft an extra magical dessert moment for our wedding guests, rather than take home a little personalized tchotchke that will hardly be used again. Once I had a rough idea of guest count and the day I was looking to pick the cookies up, she was able to concoct the cookie variety pack of our dreams! She was even able to accommodate our gluten free wedding guests with a gluten free version of their classic sprinkle chip cookie! Most of the guests’ cookies didn’t even make it home, but my husband and I were so grateful to have something sweet to munch on at the end of the night. They even went the extra mile and put our custom cookie labels on their individual cookie packaging so that our cookies had that extra “sweet” personal touch.

I highly recommend the food and beverages here. My favorites are the lentil burger (Yum!) on the gluten-free wrap, and the Roots juice. They have a very small market as well but despite it being tiny, I found a few items that I haven't seen elsewhere. My only complaint is that with the blenders running, it can be too noisy to eat here, as there is nothing to absorb the sound. Also a heads up that I went out of my way to go here on 2 separate days and they were closed without any post to their website or, at least the 2nd time, any sign posted beforehand. So I'm hoping that if that happens again, they'll adjust the Google listing.

I love Restoration! I live in PA with family on LI. 90% of my trips back end up eating here one night.
There is a large variety of unique cocktails. The appetizers are delicious, a favorite is the whipped cheese board. There is a generous selection of Vegan/Vegetarian options for my friend, and there are gluten free options as well if that is needed. The main course menu is plentiful as well, and the portions are large so I always end up getting to take half back to PA with me!
Honestly I’m not sure what the desserts are like (I’ve never seen the dessert menu), but we normally end the night with a cookie/cakey espresso martini. Drink prices are on par for Long Island cocktails ($14-$17) and don’t skimp on the liquor.
Servers and bartenders are always friendly to us. Restoration is great for a girls night out. My only wish is that they took reservations. They can get really busy on the weekends, and sometimes we have quite a long wait. We’ve learned to try and get there by 5:30 instead, so we can also get a spot at the bar while we wait, but I’m all for a later dinner!
