This restaurant has unfortunately experienced a sharp decline in the quality of food, based on a recent dine-in experience. It was an off time, in the middle of a Saturday afternoon, and there was only one other table with guests. The shrimp spring rolls had no flavor and were mostly dry vermicelli noodles. The shrimp pad Thai weirdly tasted like it had jarred sweet and sour sauce in it, and the chopped, fried peanuts on the side had a strange appearance, taste, and texture. My partner had the fried rice and was also disappointed. Another aspect that gave me pause: Many items on the menu were marked gluten free that are typically not gluten-free in restaurants, like crab rangoon. I asked the waitress about it and her answer felt uncertain and made up on the spot. I asked if she could verify with the cook. She did, then returned to steer me toward a limited number of safe options. So, the menu has a lot of incorrect info for dietary restrictions and our waitress wasn’t knowledgeable about how the food was prepared.

Our favorite donut shop! We drive 30+ minutes every few months to get a fix 🙃 The yeast donuts & sausage rolls are unmatched. They have tons of gluten free options, though I have not tried them. My only issue is I’ve yet to find the perfect latte, but they have tons of options, so I’ll keep trying 😊 We always get there at the perfect time with no wait, but when there is a wait, the line moves quickly. We also discovered they have some books and coloring sheets for the kids, which means we will probably be visiting more often now 😄
Just watched the cook handle all the fries no I g them from a large bin to another without switching gloves after handling flour covered onion rings. This is while the front person is telling me their fried are GF - hard pass for this celiac.
Also the whole place was filthy. Kitchen, dining room and bathroom. Super gross for anyone dining. Bleh. 🤮
I had the tikka masala with lamb at Tarka Indian Kitchen and it was delicious. The lamb was super tender. I really appreciate how many gluten-free options they have. Everything I’ve tried so far has been so good! The staff was friendly, and the whole experience felt easy and relaxed. Definitely one of my favorite spots for Indian food.
I’m gluten-free so I never buy sandwiches, until I discovered Ike’s! This is by far the best gluten-free bread I’ve ever had and love that they have multiple tasty options for vegetarians and pescatarians. The meal deal was $20, more than I was expecting, but worth it.
Fire Bowl Cafe never disappoints. With so many options, it's easy to find something for everyone. Great gluten free options, my wife got the coconut curry. The menu indicated it wasn't spicy but my wife said it was too spicy for her to finish.
New to Texas and poke, I'm impressed by Poke Austin's freshness and affordability. The manager offered valuable guidance on poke and accommodated my gluten-free diet. I'm grateful for the assistance and plan to return weekly, every Friday.
