I took my daughters (who were visiting) on July 5th, one of the busiest times of the year and yes there was an expected wait but the Hostess, Susan was the most gracious person even though it was insanely busy!! She greeted with a smile and never once lost her cool!! We have eaten at the Craftsman many times! Not only because the atmosphere is trendy, modern and refreshing from all the others but the food is great. More importantly the women in my family have Celiacs and GI and this place is safe for us!! they offer delicious GF options and they use a separate fryer! We have had their parmesan/truffle tater tots, burgers, flatbreads, Nashville hot chicken and tacos—everything was delicious. Our server was a gem!! Also very gracious during a horribly busy time—I wish I could remember her name but she was an adorable young lady with reddish hair that she wore in pigtails. She was very attentive and kind!! Craftsman has a winning combination—great good, great staff and great atmosphere!! Did I mention they support and honor our Vets!!!

We have traveled from Arizona for the last four years to accommodate my Grandma’s birthday in Eagle River. Last year was our first visit to Heid Out… Boy did we rant and rave about them! We knew exactly what was on the agenda this time around. This year did not disappoint. Nevaeh was on point for a group of 14. No drink went dry and everyone received their food on time, not to mention she’s a doll. The owner was amazing and super appreciative. My 91yr old grandma has dietary needs which were accommodated as well. My mom is gluten free and hasn’t stopped complimenting their cauliflower pizza. Seriously could not be happier with our visit. If u haven’t stopped by, I highly recommend. Make sure u try out their drink menu, u will be pleasantly surprised.

Update: I've become a regular here. The French toast is LIFE CHANGING. I also highly recommend the Mountaineer. The ham is so good, never dry at all. Best restaurant in the northwoods!
The place is super small, but super cute! The cook was very helpful with being Celiac safe for my daughter but cooking her food in her own pan. They also had gluten-free options clearly marked on the menu. Our waitress Tiffani was so sweet too! She played a game with my daughter and gave her a sticker from the restaurant. I have nothing negative to say, even the food was incredible!
