What a lovely cafe! Warm welcome and lovely staff. Exceptional food - the cheese toastie with soup was delicious and the perfect comfort food after a lovely hike around Grasmere in the rain. Lots of great gluten free options and a wonderful variety of food for all tastes. Owners are lovely people. Well worth a visit, you'll love it! Thank you for a lovely meal Greens Cafe 💚

Unreal. Stopped on a hiking trip and came back the next day for more. Food 10/10, service super super quick. Polite staff and chefs had great banter. Would recommend to a friend! Catered for my dairy and gluten allergies no sweat. May 2025

Excellent dishes, beautifully presented, good wine, friendly service and a warm quirky ambience. It is only open about half the week, since the owners no longer work full time. If you want to enjoy this experience, you must book well in advance or be extremely lucky. The menu includes at least one vegetarian option, and the restaurant is happy to provide gluten free options, on request. Parking is available a short walk away. If only it were a bit cheaper!
