Visiting Wigan for the day so not familiar with any eateries but find this gem that offers gluten free fish and chips.
Not too busy when we went so we got served immediately and found that they are very well informed on gluten free requirements.
Was so nice to be able to order fish chips and mushy peas without feeling at risk as the fish are fried in a dedicated frier.
Good was delicious and fish was cooked perfectly in light crispy batter, just like regular food 😁.
Would definitely recommend coming here and will definitely visit again when we're in Wigan.
Foods always spot on, service is always great and they cater for gluten free which is great. They don't do gluten free fish so I do have to travel to leigh for that but there's other items the can do which are always great. I usually get salt and pepper chips and beef in tomato with bean sprouts (with no soy sauce).
I was absolutely positively impressed with the food and service at the Red Door Bistro. Not only they opened out of hours for my leaving do, they had an amazing menu that caters for my very unique dietary needs (gluten free and vegetarian) and it was an amazing experience. They stayed opened until we were satisfied and they even told us nice stories about credit card machines. I cannot recommend this place enough.
The superb team at the Fat Olive made our family event even more special! Add to that the very tasty, fresh and well-presented food to suit all ages, preferences and diets (I particularly found the vegetarian and gluten free food exceptionally good), and you can guarantee a great experience at this restaurant. The staff worked really hard to meet all the needs of our large group, on a busy Saturday night, and did so in a patient, warm and smiling manner throughout. I highly recommend this place and suggest you try it for yourselves!!
Always get a god pizza and great service here. Never mad busy. Always have gluten free bases available. Just be aware, it's card only, they don't take cash!
Brilliant Indian. Has lots to offer and lots of gluten free options for my mrs. Samber is ace and the tarka daal to die for. Only thing they don't deliver so if you're local then picking up is no issue.
Food is really good but older lady with blonde hair has got to be the worst server in the history of waitressing. She didn’t know what gluten free was, what was in menu dishes or what the cocktails were made of. Never come back to ask us how are food was or if we wanted more drinks. Food was amazing but that waitress needs training everyone is else was great 👍
Absolutely delicious food !! Purchased the salt and pepper chicken with half chips half rice as a box meal , and I wasn't disappointed! Staff knowledgeable about my dietary requirements ( no gluten ) and the price was spot on too ! Found my new food love ! Definitely worth a visit !
The restaurant decor is done really well, service is usually good and decent food. Would like a gluten free dessert option, its the best part about going out for a meal!
Fantastic stay in Wigan, my daughter was taking an exam. Staff super friendly and couldn't have helped more with my daughters allergies to dairy and gluten. Thank you for making our stay memorable.
This is a delightful coffee place with some gluten free options and some of the better coffee in Wigan. Amazing service. Its becoming more popular, and there can be a noise problem. Very echoy place.
