I got a takeaway and the Jacket potato was delicious but the scone was as if it had been sat there a week. It was so incredibly dry but not over cooked dry, properly stale dry, the whole thing literally crumbled into pieces it was vile and went in the bin.
On a different day I had the berry and vanilla gluten free cake, it was just ok.
My friend had a lemon cake and he said it was delicious.
Cozy pub with excellent gluten-free menu including fish and chips, plus a spacious dog-friendly garden.

We had a really fantastic meal here last week and would highly recommend. We sat in the garden, plenty of seating and options for sitting in the shade or the sunshine.
The food here is brilliant, with very tasty gluten free options too. There were 5 of us and we had the pumpkin risotto, gluten free fish and chips, gluten free chicken burger and a beefburger. All of them were plentiful and very tasty.
The staff were all very welcoming and the service was good.
This pub is in a beautiful area for visiting, lots of great walks, and this is just the place for hungry hikers!

Excellent gluten free tomato & spinach quiche. Brie & cranberry sandwich on granary bread was delicious. Nice touch with the side salad and tortilla crisps. Smoothie was amazing.

Nice place for a cuppa and chat with family/friends. Gluten free cakes available and decaff coffee and soya milk. Such a grand room to have a cafe.
Only tip would be to get a large size drink as the regular size cup is not that big. Think it was only 35p extra to go large.
You can also go here without being NT member. Will definitely return again.
