I really hate to write a review like this but my experience at Bell’s was not good. As someone with coeliac, I came to Bell’s, excited for some gluten free fish and chips. Unfortunately however, I was served the incorrect plate which was not gluten free which not only ruined my visit to Bell’s but the rest of my day/week. I appreciate that mistakes happen but when it comes to allergies, there is no room for error and this could have been fatal.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone without an allergy as the service was lovely and the atmosphere was nice but would take extra precaution if you do have an allergy, particularly if it is serious!!
Lovely cafe, the food was delicious and fresh. The jacket was HUGE! Very knowledgeable about coeliac disease. Good gluten free options available. The service was great - all very friendly.
Walked in. Walked out.
Lady behind the bar was so rude and so uncaring. Asked if they served Sunday lunch was told menus are on the table, no problem, asked if they can do a gluten free option to be just met with “no”. All I wanted to do was take the gravy and yorkshires off, the other guy said they could do it and that the gravy was gluten free but honestly the lack of knowledge and attitude, I didn’t even want to take the risk. Would have understood it if the bar was really busy but there was myself and 2 other people (one of which already being served).
If you want quick easy weatherspoons style I imagine it would be ok, can’t really comment on the food as I didn’t eat here
Fantastic Sunday dinner and even had gluten free gravy. Large portions, very tasty.
Great service, friendly smiley and super helpful with me having coeliac
Cafe at carpark at Seaham Beach - north end. Very nice with tables looking out. Brunch served until 11:30. Gluten free bread available. Service very quick and efficient.
