My 1st time at this location! I was celebrating my friend's birthday, and I ordered the Orange Hawaiian drink and the What The? Bowl, which were very delicious. I shop at Sprouts because I have a lot of food allergies. I really appreciate being able to buy gluten free fruit pies from Maine for example. My son loves the gluten free frozen dumplings and pot stickers that just arrived. The pre-made gluten free non-frozen cupcakes and cakes are great too. We also get gluten free breaded fish sticks, chia quinoa chips, gf waffles, and dairy-free soy-free salad dressing (so hard to find). 99% of that list are foods that we cannot buy anywhere else... and we deeply, deeply appreciate being able to have something to eat. Sadly with my very long list of allergies - there still is not enough options for me to eat, but my son is having a blast trying all sorts of new things. I also appreciate their bamboo toilet paper which I have no allergic reaction to. If this was our only experience at Sprouts in Lancaster, it would rate a 4/5.
However, some of the items we rely on that are gluten free are no longer being carried at Sprouts. The gluten free battered fish in particular is disappearing off the shelves and is not being replaced. This is the same pattern we see happen everywhere. The second any food meets my long lost of dietary needs, stores stop carrying them, ingredients are changed, or companies who manufacture that food go under. Its hard to finally find something with your long list of allergies that you can eat and then have it taken away, but that is what Sprouts is doing.
