I don’t give low reviews often, but this place is an honest 2.
I was so excited to try the food after the worker at the dispensary recommended this place because I was looking for healthier options.
We were looking at the menu out front and the hostess asked if we needed help and I asked her if they had gluten-free bread for the Panini’s. I remember asking this distinctly as she answered me “yes” twice once after I said gluten-free and then the second time after I said “bread for the Panini’s” to make sure it was clear.
After we sat down and got some drinks and were ordering the panini, I find out that they do not have gluten-free bread, although they do have gluten-free crust from the pizza.
Anyways, I can’t be too upset over misunderstanding, but it was misleading at first and made it hard for someone that doesn’t do well with gluten but also don’t want pizza (i.e. me).
Anyways, the server asked if we wanted soup, salad or chips with our Panini so we ended up getting the salad.
When everything came out, honestly it was the most piss poor sandwich/food item I’ve ever paid money for… see the photos. It’s kind of unbelievable. It was just bread with a couple slivers of beef and some cheese melted in.
I gave the server feedback that it was a very scarce sandwich and he kind of just looked at me and said OK. Didn’t offer any sort of fixes or to even give the feedback to the chef. Just stared at me dead pan.
“OK fine let’s get out of here, This place is a dud, but at least we only got one meal and split it.”
I asked the server for the bill and he just came over with an iPad which he did not show me. He said your total is $24. I asked to see the actual bull because it was only a $14 sandwich that we ordered. I pulled up the menu and showed him and he said yeah, it’s $14 but the salad was an up charge.
He certainly phrased it in a way where it seemed like each sandwich would come with a side item, no matter what and we just had to choose, which one. Very misleading, it literally doubled the price of our entire meal to get a little side salad that I thought was already included for $14.
Between the strange service interactions, the weak sauce, overly salty sandwich and multiple times getting what feels like misleading information, I can’t recommend this spot to anyone.
I’m trying to not be overly harsh, but honestly, there were so many opportunities for this experience to go right and it’s clear that the management is trying to be skimpy and make as much money as possible at the expense of the Customers.
PS they couldn’t even be bothered to chop a carrot up for the salad. They just gave us full stick with the lettuce 🤣
