What a great find! New to Deland and friends recommended. This is NOT your typical ice cream place. Their flavors are creative and unique! They start with basic chocolate and vanilla flavors and build new taste sensations. Our banana bread Flavor of the Day was amazing. They even have gluten free ice cream sandwiches! The simple vibe is enhanced by a killer play list for the background music that seemed to have something for every generation. Service is college-age casual, but perfectly fine for this location near Stetson University.

I heard of Positano a long time ago and was waiting for my trip to go. I tell you, my friends and I just talked about ordering extra next time because it was so good. I had a gluten-free crust; I loved the crispiness, and the tomato sauce was perfect—not acidic or heavy. My friend ordered a pepperoni pizza with a regular crust, and she loved it too. We ordered a cannoli and a cheesecake; the cannoli was delicious, but the cheesecake—OMG! I ordered one to go. The best thing was the service; they were super nice, and the coffee was an extra plus. Food was good! Staff wasn’t super knowledgeable but they were very accommodating when you ask questions. Chips and hard taco shells are in a shared fryer, but the soft corn tortillas are handmade and absolutely delicious!
