This British bakehouse is phenomenal, personable, and not insanely priced. I'm not even gluten free and I loved it. My friend has celiac disease and is so limited when it comes to wheat eats so we went there as a small group to try it out and have some weekend fun. We each drooled over everything we ordered, (and I have a professional baking background so I'm pretty discerning)... Lemon bars, raspberry cake, other vanilla cake of some kind, sprinkled donuts and lattes. Go get them. Now. You're welcome. When I'm in the area again I will definitely be back for another sugar rush.
I order a gluten free bun with butter burger and it's always delicious. On this visit, bun was not very good. I was very surprised because in the past bun was very good - tasty, light and not crumbly. Maybe they are using a new vendor?? I will continue to go to Culver's because they have a very extensive gluten-free menu and feel they take extra care for allergies.
Great, recently renovated local spot! Added new menu items. I am gluten free and they were very accommodating. I had a variety of sushi! Be careful, the spicy is spicy!
Update: My job hosted their Christmas party here and it was so lovely. The service was great and the food was amazing. We had a buffet with chicken, steak and salmon. Nothing was disappointing. I am still thinking about the food today.

Sunday funday at Merienda Cafe in Grayslake (located at rt 45 and 120) Amazing Filipino food with Gluten free options!! Family owned and operated, the customer service and attention to detail was superb!! The food was absolutely delicious 😋 🙏 We ordered the calamsi wings and pancit gluten free! My husband had the Tapsilog entree and the ribeye was SO tender! The atchara (papaya) salad was the perfect amount of sweet and sour. Loved the decor and ambiance also!
We are big fans of this place. We recently visited for some delicious gluten-free pasta and it did not disappoint. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning in the future.
FANTASTIC! They do not give themselves the credit they deserve! The education and variety of GLUTEN FREE options itself is amazing! Something for everyone, allergies, pets, sweet, fruity and SO FRIENDLY! ALSO AMAZINGLY GOOD! Damn good Mexican food and really good prices. This is like my favorite cheap place to eat! Pablo Salad is gluten free and paleo too (I think) simple salad, but really good!
Update: The pizza is really good. Over the years, this has become my favorite pizza place. I like thin crispy/crunchy crusts and good toppings. I especially like sausage and garlic pizza. So good from here. The sausage is so flavorful and the garlic muat be fresh chopped. It smells so good to walk in and smell the garlic on the pizza cooking. Tastes even better!
Amazing food and service. They took great care in making sure they addressed my Gluten allergy. The atmosphere was friendly, the temperature was perfect, and the food was amazing.
