This was lovely. As a human with gluten intolerance it gets old feeling like I have to apologize for asking what the ingredients are and explaining why and what half the time in restaurants. Here, everything is clearly marked, our waiter asked about preferences right up front and was able to say what menu items to avoid and how other menu items could be easily modified. He was fantastic. The food and cocktails were delicious as was the ambience.

Visit # 3, we went today to use our inkind app cash back and to try the gluten free desserts by the Silly Axe Cafe as I have to have GF. The GF pina colada tiramisu was good but a very small portion for $9. We also got the cookies and cream cake slice for $9. Do not get this. It tastes awful. I know the GF desserts can have a different taste and I'm used to it but this was not good. Stay with the pina colada tiramisu.
Visit # 2, was with our kids and they liked the golf.
Visit# 1, First time trying South Seas. It was my husband's birthday today so we wanted something new. Everything was great! Drinks were awesome, a little pricy though. I had the Blue Hawaiian and Miami Vice. My husband had 2 of the beers on tap. Bartender was very knowledgeable. He was great to chat with. Queso and chips app was really good. Husband had the Cali double burger and I had the Duke breakfast.
The food is excellent, and they are able to accommodate gluten allergies (gluten-free: salt/pepper/sesame seasoning ribeye, they were kind to provide a side of tamari and separate gluten-free sides). As a native Korean, I had to make a few more suggestions than the server knew about but I think they are still learning everything, including about Korean cuisine and gluten. The chef has done an EXCELLENT job though, and completely worth every bite. I don't have to drive all the way to Chicago now, I can go to Louisville! The ginger shaved ice dessert with black sesame - I'll be having dreams about that until I return.
We absolutely LOVE this restaurant! It is, by far, one of the (new) secret treasures in Butchertown. We adore the owner and staff, as we knew most of them from the previous establishment, Decca, and some from other favorite spots in Louisville. The entire menu is thoughtful and creative. The gluten free options are plentiful, as I have CD. Since their menu changes, some of the things I highly recommend this February are:
Cocktails:
Death Becomes Her
Look Alive
Salad:
Buttermilk greens with garlic strusel
Small plates:
Marbled potatoes
Marinated olives
Entrees:
The mackerel (tonight's special)
ANY steak on the menu (when it's offered)
The chicken with Dijon jus (so good)!
Honestly, the entire place has been perfectly curated. It's hands down one of the finest places in Louisville all-around.
Arrived on a Friday night with party of 13 and they quickly accommodated our large party. Our server was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed and with a timely manner. Food was hot and good. Portions are smaller than expected compared to other places however was plenty enough food to fill you up. Good selection of menu items, sauces, and easily able to accommodate gluten free. Beautiful locations in a great area for downtown activities. We will definitely be back.
Found this unique coffee shop this morning after finishing a 5K run! Has a vintage type decor and includes pinball machines in the back! Coffee was excellent and a big bonus was macaroons, which are GLUTEN FREE!
