We were really pleasantly surprised at just how nice our experience at The Cellar was. As someone with a gluten sensitivity I was thrilled to see that their chicken and waffles is gluten free. The prices are commensurate with the quality here, and I was glad to see that our entrees were full plates, not a piece of protein garnished with a few specks of vegetable and starch. What a strange name for a restaurant - but don't let that stop you! the food here was super delicious!!!
I got the Beer Brisket sandwich, which was so tender and flavorful, the everything bun was soft and delicious too!
I did not care for the potato salad though, which I paid $2 extra for - without knowing (they really should tell you) - it was VERY VERY heavy on the vinegar.
My husband got the Gluten Free Buttermilk fried chicken and LOVED every bite of it -- he couldn't believe it was GF!
Unfortunately, because we stopped in for lunch on our drive home to Cleveland, we did not partake in any drinks but they had an extensive bar and a great drink menu!

I couldn’t get even a third of the way through a single bowl, and it felt incredibly wasteful since I couldn’t take the rest with me. Went here at the beginning of October. Fiancee has gluten issues, so we were very hesitant. Even though it was a busy night, we were able to get a table. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about which foods on the menu were safe to eat. Even went so far as to double check with the chef if the soup was safe to eat (it was). Waiter went so far as to bring her rice crackers instead of normal crackers. The chef was amazing with preparing our food so it wasn't even an issue to think about. The main course was delicious and we both took our time savoring each little bit we ate. I'd have to say it's better than the big box chains that specialize in those areas! The only two downsides we have are that it was a bit costly (so a great special occasion place, like anniversary, etc), and that we live so far away! Otherwise it would be our go to spot for eating out for our anniversary and whatnot. Overall, love the food, love the atmosphere, great wait staff, and very knowledgeable chef! Will definitely eat there again in the future!
