A Thoughtfully Crafted Burger Experience in the Heart of Forest Hills
Bareburger in Forest Hills is far more than your average burger joint—it’s a place where quality, care, and creativity come together beautifully. The menu is impressively versatile, offering everything from classic grass-fed beef to bison, elk, and plant-based patties that don’t feel like afterthoughts. Each ingredient feels intentionally chosen, and it shows in every bite.
What sets this place apart is its ability to cater to nearly every diet without sacrificing flavor. Whether you’re gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, or simply a lover of a well-made burger, Bareburger ensures you feel included—and well fed. The sweet potato fries deserve their own round of applause, and the shakes (whether dairy or plant-based) are thick, nostalgic, and satisfying.
The ambiance is inviting—rustic yet modern, family-friendly yet grown-up enough for a casual date night. Staff are attentive and genuinely helpful, which goes a long way in today’s fast-casual dining scene.
Yes, it’s priced a bit above your typical burger spot, but the difference in quality and experience more than justifies it. Bareburger is a Forest Hills gem—one that honors the art of the burger while embracing the values of thoughtful, sustainable dining
Gluten free Mexican options that taste amazing? Sign me up! Honestly, I recommend Metro Taco whether or not you need to eat GF. I like the shrimp tacos and the mushroom tacos - but the others are also great.
Solid guacamole with GF chips! The best! Great, relaxing restaurant to have in the neighborhood. The owners and staff are friendly.
Good simple food. I have celiac disease and other allergies so my options are limited, but they will customize dishes for me. I love their chicken soup, fried chicken, pad Thai,
I had the best coffee I could find in the Forest Hills area, the staff was friendly and helpful , the place have a very relaxing atmosphere and the food is fresh and tasty ,and a huge selection of vegan and gluten free options .
My mother and I went for her bday. I was able to get delicious gluten free options. Their pasta and pizza were gluten free and it was delicious. Definitely will go again.
My husband is gluten free. We decided to check and see if they made a gluten free pizza. We ordered a regular plain cheese, gluten free. We got 6 Sicilian slices. The cost was $23.00, a little pricey, but 100% worth it. The crust was excellent and the sauce was very good. One of the best slices of pizza we have had in a long time. We will definitely go again.
I love their casual setting and the bar! We wanted something different and found it! Their food is amazing! From their appetizers to their dishes, the wait is worthwhile! I loved the fish cake appetizer! We ordered potstickers, beef bulgogi and gluten-free mackerel! WoW.. what deliciousness! The space is simple, clean and welcoming! Their staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating! I highly recommend them!
I had a great experience with this restaurant. They have several vegetarian options. I ordered the avocado roll and an asparagus, cucumber, and avocado combo roll. When I ordered over the phone, the staff confirmed the rolls could be made gluten free (aside from the wasabi). When I got home and opened the bag, I saw that they had given me gluten free soy sauce packets as well! To top it all off, the food was delicious. I’ll definitely eat here again.
I’m gluten intolerant so sometimes finding food it’s a hassle. Some local places have some stuff but it’s nice to find it all in one location, they have A LOT of gluten free food. Stuff I haven’t seen in years, prices are actually pretty decent and sometime cheaper than other major stores. Stores also super clean and the employees are really nice. They have lots of vegan/vegetarian items as well!!
This is one of my favorite restaurants. All of the servers and staff are super nice, and the food is excellent. I’ve had dine-in service several times and regularly get takeout (maybe once a week on average). The food is high-quality and also very consistent in quality. There are also plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options. I only have good things to say about this place!
All the tacos and a few other menu items here are gluten free (I have Celiac and felt fine after eating here). I wish they marked which options were GF on their menu so I could feel confident there would be something I could order ahead of time. It's a great place to stop for dinner and drinks before a concert at Forest Hills.

When in town we always make a trip to Reef. The food it delicious and large enough to share. The lemon potatoes and chicken skewers are both delicious. Good selection of wine and gluten free options in dinning with indoor and outdoor seating.

Great addition to the neighborhood. The wasn’t really any good coffee places in the area until they opened up. Super friendly team and lots of different options including vegan and gluten-free. They also roast their own coffee here in Queens NYC. Their espresso is always on point!!
