I was super excited to hear that another gluten free bakery was coming to Raleigh! I am celiac and am always looking for places to eat safely.
Unfortunately, after reading the FAQs on the website, I will not be eating here. They have made their stance very clear - they will not make orders for same-sex weddings. While their website claims that this is simply a matter of ‘different views and beliefs’, human rights are actually not a debatable topic.
There are other gluten free bakeries across the triangle that don’t hold such bigoted views, and I will be happy to continue to travel to support them instead.
Went there for breakfast bc they advertised Gluten Free options. My wife and daughter both have Celiac disease. Their bodies cannot digest gluten and eating gluten can lead to lymphoma or other serious medical issues. My wife and daughter both ordered the gluten free pancakes. When the pancakes came to the table, My wife's pancakes were a deep brown but my daughter's were more of a tan color. We made verbal note of the visual difference but the waitress didn't mention any difference. When we got the bill, my daughter's pancakes WERE NOT GLUTEN FREE!! If you are going to advertise and serve items for individuals w food allergies, it might be good idea to train your staff to understand the severity of food allergies. If a doctor gave you a Rx for a med you are allergic to, you would sue if it harmed you, but this place serves food to allergic individuals with no repercussions.
Love love love the salad bar, they also accomodated my grandsons who have celiac and can not have any wheat products....I have been coming here for years.
