A safe place for those that have to eat gluten free. Everyone was really accommodating and the ice cream sandwiches we made were fantastic. (The GF cookie was also vegan for those that need it.) Lou, our server, made absolutely sure that there was no cross contamination; so, they have trained their staff really well. If you want a great dessert place, and have to eat GF, this is definitely a place you should try.
After basketball practice, our little guy Kenneth Jr. (he’s only 4’2” but I swear he moves like lightning!) came off the court absolutely famished. The first words out of his mouth? “Can we get IHOP?” And honestly, how do you say no to that face?
So my wife and I packed up and headed out for some much-needed pancakes and comfort food.
Let me just say perfect call.
My wife has to eat gluten-free, which can make dining out a little tricky, but IHOP really came through. She was able to get gluten-free pancakes and sausage, and she was genuinely happy with how good everything tasted. It's such a relief when a place makes it easy for her to enjoy a meal without worry.
And we had the BEST waitress tonight. Super friendly, upbeat, and just the kind of person you want to have taking care of your table. She was amazing with Kenneth Jr. asked him about his game and gave him the biggest smile. He lit up! Service like that goes a long way, and we really appreciated her.
The food was exactly what we needed warm, homey, and just what you want after a long day. I had the chicken and waffles (can’t go wrong), and Kenneth went to town on a full stack like it was nothing. Kid’s got an appetite to match his speed!
Sometimes the simplest nights are the best ones. Just good food, happy faces, and time with the people you love.
If you haven’t hit IHOP in a while, let this be your reminder pancakes and a great atmosphere are waiting. We’ll definitely be back.
If you are from Texas and miss HEB, then this is the place for you. Prices rival the big warehouse stores but without the membership. Plenty of specialty diet foods such as vegan and gluten free. Bulk dry goods are better than Sprouts or Whole foods. They do NOT take credit cards, but that helps keep prices low!
A friend suggested trying firehouse subs, definitely didn't disappoint. The food was amazing, service was even better the cashier even went into telling me the history of the company when I stated I had never been. I love that they do have an option for gluten free bread even though it is pricy. The staff even changed gloves and made sure the surfaces were cleaned while making my sandwich!
We are dairy and gluten-free and this place is am answered prayer for out of town travel. I wish we could figure out how to get one closer to home. Amazing food!!!
This place Rocks!!! Shot out to the young lady Tamera making perfect sandwiches at both NW 23rd and MWC locations. Keep up the great work!!! Team work makes the dream work👊 Plus, I absolutely love their philly cheese steak sandwich both gluten and regular. Delicious people. Delicious! And, my Go-to is the sliders. Mmm Delicious!!!
I had heard that Schlotzsky's had gluten-free bread so I took a chance to see if it was good or not...Let me tell you, I enjoyed my Gluten-free Ham and Cheese sandwich immensely! The bread was tasty and NOT chalky😋
Great little place hidden in MWC. They have like 16 different flavors of pancakes and can accommodate most flavors to be gluten free. Hearty and tasty food outside of the pancakes too. They can get busy but they usually get busy in rushes.
On 6/09/2024 @ 3:21 pm, my husband, Mark, and I, finally made it to Olive Garden in Midwest City, OK, Store #6451. I am wheelchair ♿️ bound with sensory issues to boot. I am always concerned attempting going out to eat because most of the time, it is too much and my body seizes up for the rest of the day!
Olive Garden has changed my mind because they catered to us instead of treating me like an outcast. From the moment we were headed to the door, we were greeted with a big smile from Layla who helped my husband with the door, so he could get the wheelchair ♿️ in. Soon, we had the best server, Dylan, who notified the service manager, Laurie, that I requested the gluten-free menu. She swiftly came over and asked for the first time in 6.5 years of being gluten-free, "How gluten-sensitive or completely celiac are you?" So that there were no communication issues from the front and back of the house. Major, major KUDOS! It did not end there, I asked her if there was any way that the music could be turned down a tad and she jumped on it. Teralyn brought out our wonderful food and to top it off I had to request a spoon 🥄 because I can no longer eat with a fork.
Yes, I do realize there were a lot of accommodations. My husband and I went at a time when we hoped the restaurant wasn't so busy. Not once did Olive Garden employees look at me or treat me differently. At 50 and not being able to see much besides the inside of our house and doctor's offices, you all made this girl feel like a queen. A lot of businesses should jot down some notes 📋 from you because customer service is not their cup of tea, ESPECIALLY for handicapped individuals.
Sincerely,
Stacie Spence
(New devoted customer until the good Lord takes me)
It's a mass market pizza buffet. Cost is reasonable, you have a selection available with little or no wait, and the option to add special orders. My wife is gluten free, and the no crust pizza option is a winner for for her as well as those on carb limited diets.
