I’ve been a fan of eating here ever since 2005 but I have to eat gluten free now and oh my goodness….extremely disappointed…almost seems like the crust is already prepackaged and they just throw on toppings and roast it for a minute or two. Awful crust.
Such a beautiful location by the water, we love coming by here for date night or visiting family! The gluten free pasta is just fine for me and the menu is very easy to alter sauces or make something vegetarian, too. Outdoor seating and super family friendly ❤️
Service was 10/10 for a walk-in of 7 on a Sunday night and one had celiac disease. Meatballs were out of this world. The hazelnut semifreddo needs to become a permanent menu item. It is gluten free and absolutely phenomenal. We had issues with our pasta being served lukewarm, but the dinner was delicious regardless. Would highly recommend.
RIVER DAZE!!!! this place is the bomb. their sandwiches are so good. i also recommend taking home some english muffins for breakfast, they're quite literally the best english muffins i've ever had. they've got a good selection of cookies, including gluten-free. if you want to come in to dine, there's always been enough room every time i've been in. the space is large, airy, with plenty of seating.
My favorite pizza! Probably the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. My friends and I routinely drive 30 minutes in traffic to pick up pizza from here.
A mom & pop, hole-in-the-wall treasure! Such tasty food! Yummy options I can’t wait to explore everything on the menu!
Plus, the menu lists out multiple gluten free options! We had the lamb kabobs and essentially fried onions that were amazing! Amazingly, I haven’t had any allergic reactions (gluten)so I feel pretty confident in coming back again soon!
Atmosphere: romantic in my personal opinion but still great for friends and family groups. I saw a very large family group while there as well as more typical group numbers. And even people eating solo. I overheard a waitress say that she and her husband co-own & operate this cute restaurant and she mentioned her husband is originally from India. (So trust them on their recommendations for spice levels!)
solid gluten free crust.
came during lunch rush for a to go order and almost didn't make it back to work in time. staff was incredible and very friendly. food was okay, high quality toppings. I'm a pretty huge snob about pizza so take this with a grain of salt
I have a homie who's a celiac and this is the only place he can go to get donuts. He also said they were the best gluten-free donuts he's ever been able to find. This business and their workers go above and beyond to provide a place for even those with gluten allergies can go, making sure to only use metal cooking tools instead of plastic to prevent contamination!
Employees are incredibly respectful, kind, and patient.
You've earned two loyal customers for life.
Thank you!!!
We eat here regularly. Service has become slow lately, but our teens love onigiri, so I keep going to get it.
They're good about accommodating gluten intolerance which I appreciate, although they'll still put in salad dressing in the plates that has gluten and not tell you most of the time.
I wish they did salmon onigiri, as they do a salmon plate.

It's so nice this time of year, I can't wait until tomatoes come into season. Key stalls to check out, the fresh donut stand (you'll smell them before you see them), the Hilltop coffee stands (they have such fun flavors), organicos is a gluten, free vegan, bakery (usually beside hilltop) they have deliciously unique treats, I'm never disappointed. And of course the many farm stands (I recommend circling once before buying, you can see which stall is best and compare pricing), the Greek food stand on the corner(gyros are so good), Rosie's Tamales, and the radish kimchi. Ok, so just visit all the stands.
You need to eat here! We were passing through town and made a quick stop at Rio and left beyond satisfied with our meal. My husband and I both have problems with gluten so to hear from our waiter that they do not use any wheat in their cooking (only wheat is their flour tortillas) we were stoked. Both our dishes were absolutely incredibly delicious (Enchilada Enmoladas and the Enchiladas De Tinga de Pollo🤌🏼) and we left with our bellies full. Super tasty and super quick service! Don’t go anywhere else, we will be back if we roll through town again.
We ordered a gluten free Hawaiian as well as a Cesar salad for take out and it was quite honestly one of the worst pizzas my girlfriend and I have ever had. Usually gluten free crusts is hit or miss as far as quality goes but this one tasted lukewarm, spongey, and soggy…just disgusting. On top of that almost half of our pizza didn’t even have cheese on it and the cheese that was on it, completely fell off when we started eating.
Our salad was also totally off. We ordered a Cesar salad and the dressing tasted sour and spicy? Tasted nothing like any Cesar dressing we’ve ever had.
If we’re going to spend $50+ on a meal we expect superior quality, fresh ingredients, and excellent taste and we got nothing close to any of that. We’ve been here multiple times and it’s always been that, but for some reason this time was completely off the mark. We dont plan on coming back any time soon.
Not even my dog wanted to eat this, and she eats everything!!
BEST FOOD TRUCK OUT THERE!!! I have a lot of food allergies (no gluten no dairy) and the couple that owns the truck was unbelievably kind to me, and came up with a solution I could eat. I got the “dirty fries” without cheese and O. M. G. Absolutely delicious even without the cheese. Best experience I’ve ever had at a food truck. GO HERE!!!
We were walking by on our way to a *different* seafood restaurant that had been highly recommended, when we noticed this place on the water and I thought "they look more interesting, let's go there"
I was not disappointed. They weren't kidding, it absolutely is award winning chowder. It was incredible. So delicious. I've had dreams about it. (And it's gluten friendly, which is a huge bonus for me, as my partner has Celiacs)
And the smoked salmon? Wow. I could eat it every day.
Fantastic food, and the seating area on the water was a real nice touch. Would definitely stop again if we're passing through.
Abby's has the best gluten-free crust I've come across. The staff there is always friendly, their service is fast, and it's a nice facility with fun decor. I recommend them for a nice pizza dinner, with or without the family!
We love the Brim and the teams at both locations! The new location in North Albany is so spacious and inviting and a great meeting place. Also, as a gluten free person, I love they have amazing GF options. Tiesha makes the best scones!
Amazing history and the food is delicious. A simple (family style) meal of Steak or Chicken. My wife has a gluten allergy and they were very accommodating.
Remember those great big street picnics? The ones where you could get together with your neighbors, sit down with good food, play some games and enjoy and evening while the kids laughed and the dogs lounged around? That place, that memory? It’s still here- serving up Italian food that drips with cheese and warmth from VJs meatball subs ( they serve a chicken pesto sando that is gluten free, and melt in your mouth good) , mixed drinks and kid friendly Italian sodas from Five Mile Taphouse, Greek Gyros and friendly games and conversation from The Mighty Greek and Gnome Nuts (hehe) hot donuts that will warm you from the inside out. This is your neighborhood. Stop in, say hi- play some trivia or enjoy a craft. :)
