Had brunch here with 2 of my teens we ordered:
1. Junkin with gluten free toast (gluten free options)
2. Classic breakfast with bacon and a biscuit
3. Breakfast sandwich.
Pros:
Service was fast and friendly. Place was clean and inviting.
Cons:
They only have oat milk and cow milk no other milk alternatives. Not the end of the world but worth knowing if you want a fancy coffee with breakfast.
Food: The food was a 4.5/5 the sandwich was a hit and the classic breakfast was good with the exception that the potatoes were bland with no seasoning and not very crispy. The Junkin was good except 50% of the veggies were turnips. Which are not my favorite so picked most of them out. The gluten free toast was delicious! (Note I've had the junkin before when it was more balanced with more of a variety to the veggies so this might be hit or miss)
Over all a good visit
Side note there is no parking lot or designated space for parking so you have to find a spot on a residential street which can be tricky.
Wow. Wow wow. Amazing service.
Food is on point.
Price is about the same as you would get anywhere else. Really well done.
We got burgers. Gluten free options available. Great place to end up for dinner. Or lunch.
Went for a party of two. There is a long waitlist so be prepared to walk around downtown in the meantime. It was a 45 min wait but once we got there the service was amazing! The people were super kind to us and helped us find gluten free options. It was a bit loud, but the food absolutely made up for it! I got the raspberry lemonade (highly recommend it), a cinnamon roll, and the avo smash one. I am so thankful for the wonderful experience given to us and I hope next time I’m in Bend I go!!!
Food was okay. The gluten free crust was a frozen one so we paid a lot of money when we felt we could have got a frozen pizza for the same. Gluten friendly but not celiac safe. We also ordered gluten free and then they made ours regular so we had to ask them to remake it and they did with no problems or anything. Service was wonderful but not our best experience food wise.
last night i came in to see the minecraft movie and ordered a burger with a gluten free bun for an extra $2. the restaurant seemed to be extremely busy as well as the theater, and im guessing the food is coming out of the same kitchen for both, so it took about an hour to get my food. the wait is understandable, but at that point i was so starving i didn’t really check my burger and trusted the girl who handed it to me saying “this is gluten free.” i am 95% sure i was given a regular bun. my first clue should have been how well the bun held up (gluten free buns usually disintegrate before you can finish the burger). i then proceeded to get pretty sick. i’m lucky i just have an intolerance, because this could have been a much worse scenario if i was someone with celiac or a serious allergy. i’m not too mad, it was busy. i’m just very disappointed. if i’m paying over $20 for a hamburger it shouldn’t make me sick. i’ll still be coming back because i love mcmenamins but i guess i’ll just have to be much more vigilant when it comes to paying attention to my food. do better mcmenamins!!!!!!
