An Austin must-dine restaurant, especially if you're into healthy eating. The food ingredients come from local Austin farms, and the menu changes seasonally. Plan to share bites and experience odd and tasty flavor combinations. Even cooler is that they are included in the goodfoodfighter.com top 15 Austin restaurants and have a gluten-free menu. Our experience, starting with the valet, hosts, and server(s) was outstanding! See ya'll again soon.
The pad thai and fried rice were good. We also had a red curry dish and a tom yum soup. Both were OK but nothing special. Curry was a bit too spicy (though red curry is always spicy). They do have a lot of gluten free options which is great and we thank them for. They were also pet friendly.
This was my second amazing meal at Uchi Austin! This time I brought even more people. For our visit to Austin, I put Uchi high on my must—dine list because the flavors were so memorable. Everything was delicious. Sour, umami, spicy, herbaceous, sweet-- they covered every note. We ordered a variety and took recommendations from our wonderful waiter (Armin? Armon? - I should have gotten the spelling). Two of us are gluten free, and two of us don’t even like seafood generally, and we still loved it. Most of the menu can be gluten free (get the ponzu sauce!). What a great memory.
We just weren’t impressed. Despite claims that the menu is 90% gluten free, everything I asked about had gluten, the gluten free pie was gone, and shakes were unavailable. We also waited over an hour for our drinks.
Always love coming to this movie theater - it's my favorite in Austin! The customer service is always great, the location is great, and the ambiance is nice. I love that there's a little cocktail bar next door and that there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Not that you'll be hungry! Alamo's gluten free pizza is awesome, their popcorn is freaking addictive, and their shakes!! I love their shakes, boozy or not.
I'm thrilled to be able to get gluten free cake! The chocolate cake is to die for ❤️. Normally it's just cupcakes that are available. I have nothing against cupcakes it's just nice to have a slice of cake. I will have to try the white cake next. Hands down the best chocolate chip cookie I have had.
While the selection of gluten free is small it is delicious. I don't have to drive across town for this anymore. I have my slice of heaven just around the corner.
The counter help is young and not extremely friendly. I've been twice and I don't believe I've ever seen any of them smile. They are helpful though.
We were lucky to dine here this evening and apart from the great staff, friendly owner, and ambiance, the sushi was fresh and delicious. The staff was super knowledgeable in making gluten free accommodations which I really appreciated. Will definitely be coming in next time I’m in town!
This food truck and those working here from the chef to the servers are so sweet and accommodating. The dishes are excellent. I loved the wild (oyster mushrooms) taco although the gluten-free taco fell apart due to the moistness of the inside ingredients.
One of my favorite Austin stops. I’m gluten free and dairy free and the BRUSSELS SPROUT SALAD (request vegan) and THAI CHICKEN KARAAGE are my favs! Both are spicy with fresh mint and jalapeños. And, the sauce! 😍😍
We had a great experience to no surprise. We love their sister restaurant next door. The owner and staff are all fantastic as well their supreme and veggie pizzas. We had the gluten free crust which stacks up at the top for me in austin.
Another great Opa night last night. Stopped in after Pickleball for dinner/drinks. The gluten free pizza's are delicious (almost better than the normal ones). We love it and come here 2-3x/month
My husband and I just moved to Austin from Barcelona. We knew this place existed, but we put off trying it bc we’re generally disappointed with Spanish cuisine outside of Spain.
We tried El Raval today and it exceeded our expectations.
The food felt authentic but unstuffy (considering it has a playful touch of filipino fusion on behalf of the owner’s roots). Top dishes were the patatas bravas (which i’m very picky about), and the basque cheesecake (this one was a highlight for us).
Service was great. Atmosphere is clean and trendy. Gluten free and dairy free options are clearly marked on the menu. Free parking on site.
I hope this place survives the restaurant scene in ATX, bc it’s 10/10.
We are visiting from out of town and Holden was the best server we could have asked for. I am gluten free and he made sure I knew all my options and explained every dish to me. He helped us celebrate our anniversary and made the whole experience top tier. If you’re in Austin, definitely check out Nido and ask for Holden!

Kai is exceptional. She was so attentive to our friends celiac allergy and continued to reassure us throughout our meal. She was so kind and explained everything to us. We were so lucky to have Kai taking care of us this evening! Adriana is a gem too 😘 we will definitely be back.

They really make sure that you have a traditional rolled ice cream experience as you get to watch them through the truck window. 😁☺️ Easily the best rolled ice cream I have had and the berries were extremely fresh. We opted for the build your own creations to make sure they were vegan or in my partner's case "limited" dairy! 😉 I opted for strawberries, blackberries and raspberries, it was so sweet and good on its own the whip cream honestly took away from it and did not add to it. The girls working the truck were very nice and patient as we worked together to make my vegan and gluten free creation!
Not sure why this place doesn't get more buzz. Everything we had was fantastic, including the cocktails, and they had some great gluten-free options for my wife. The rice pancake appetizer and mango sticky rice were real highlights. Also, we sat at the bar and the bartender was really nice even though she was slammed. Worth checking out.
How bread was meant to be made, no processed additives. The sourdough bread is low in gluten as the lactic acid eats through makes a perfect healthy snack for the gut. It's done right, and saves you time having to do it at the house. Thanks for existing Thoroughbred 😊
Definitely one of the best Indian Restaurants we have been to. Our favorite dishes were the Dhaba Da Murgh, the Chicken Vindaloo and the Amritsari Fish. The Onion Pakodas and the Veg Samosas were the best appetizers by far. Delson, our server, was friendly and helped us navigate the menu for gluten and dairy free items. Service was fast too on a Friday night. Parking is free with in restaurant validation, but it is limited on a busy Friday night. We got the last open spot.

Don’t walk into a pie shop expecting many gluten free options! Despite my limited choices I enjoyed how friendly and inviting the staff were. Everything looked so delicious and crafted with great passion.
Vegan options! Absolutely delicious breakfast. Everything is always hot and fresh. I’m ordering for catering and love the Gluten free and vegan options. There’s something for everyone.
