But Takapuna is perfect, great parking, super friendly staff and allergen knowledgeable. Our server was so lovely, catered to my partners gluten intolerance when we were interested in a particular dish that wasn't listed as Gluten-free. Despite the gluten free menu shown on their website, it is now out of date and very few options are gluten free (pink menu pictured is what's actually there, not what's on website). Visited April 12 2025 and several food options on menu just not available.
Staff are trying hard but just nowhere near enough of them to cope.
Chicken was burnt on outside, pink on the inside and dangerous to eat - the staff refunded the meal without fuss but I recommend you cut into your chicken and check before eating.
No glasses or water jugs available (insufficient dish staff, I suspect) so we made do with what looked like jam jars to drink from.
