They don't have an allergen menu! Yesterday we made a dinner reservation (and I had already asked by phone if they had gluten-free options) to celebrate our anniversary, and when we asked for the allergen menu, out of necessity due to allergies and celiac disease, they didn't have one. And the question was poorly received. We didn't feel welcome, and the atmosphere didn't give us good vibes either. I had high expectations of trying this restaurant since it had been recommended to me on several occasions, but for us, it was a disappointment, so we decided to move across the street, also a Japanese restaurant, which we've loved for years. If you have celiac disease, it's best to go to Sakana, where they have all the allergens listed on the menu and are happy to adapt other dishes that contain gluten so you can enjoy them just the same. It's unfortunate that, after a law requiring restaurants and other establishments to comply has been in place for over 10 years, I still find so many that don't comply. For those of us who suffer from allergies, intolerances, or autoimmune diseases (celiac disease) that prevent us from eating everything, it's incredibly frustrating that this law isn't respected, and even more so that people stare at you and talk about you in an annoying way for demanding your rights.
