I’ve been to Gertrude’s many times, so this is long overdue. Each time so great from food, vibe, staff - shoutout to Mir who I’ve got to meet from my consistent walk ins, thanks for keeping that standard so high each time, always a treat to run into her.
Also I’m gluten free, and they are so many options: latkes are already naturally gluten free, great gluten free bagels, gluten free bun for the burger, and their steak is gluten free + their peppercorn sauce (there are more but these are my favorite call outs). I feel like some restaurants will add wheat to thicken the sauce up, so when I heard Gertrude’s doesn’t, I was excited. Steam melts in your mouth.
