This place is pure cookie heaven. Although they face stiff competition from other Houston bakeries, I think Half Baked has the best chocolate chip cookie in all of Houston. Dont sleep on the oatmeal raisin or the cookie of the week! They also have some gluten-free and keto options which are sweetened with maple syrup. Delicious!!!

I learned about Balanced Fit Foods at an Open House at Woodlands Natural Health (across the street). With coupon in hand, I visited the store and asked for gluten-free options. It would probably be more size equitable to give two “sandwiches” if you order gluten free. Service was great.

This was our first time, so perhaps our experience is not the norm. We were seated immediately but waited at least 20 minutes for water and drip coffee. In addition to a few other minor issues, we won't be returning again. Issues include having to view the menu online, dirty silverware, and they were out of gluten free toast. For the kid's waffle, we asked for the hazelnut cream on the side and it came on the waffle. We didn't even know they served espresso drinks because it wasn't on the menu and our server didn't mention anything. We won't be back again as there are better options in the area, namely Re-Bar, Manna and First Watch. They have better service and better food (and gluten free options!). The atmosphere is very loud and echoes.
