As the mother of a celiac child, I chose this creperie because it presents itself as gluten-free, which initially reassured me. I called to make sure there was no risk of cross-contamination and that my child could eat safely. I was told that the bilig (the cooking plate) was cleaned after each use, and that I had nothing to worry about. Reassured, I booked for Saturday.
However, I called back five minutes later to clarify whether the buckwheat and wheat pancakes were made on different biligs. This time, I was told that they were cooked on the same bilig, simply cleaned with a pad of oil between each pancake... which is incompatible with a diet for a person with celiac disease or a wheat allergy. So I nixed the pancake idea and asked if they could serve a meat and fries, which seemed possible.
Another problem: I then booked for Sunday. But when we arrived, the restaurant was closed. After checking, it turns out that it never opens on Sunday, which suggests that the person on the phone took my reservation without checking (option 1) or that I annoyed her with my questions and that she did it on purpose (option 2)…
I am very disappointed, especially because of the lack of awareness about celiac disease and the contradictory responses that can put people's health at risk. This creperie may have 100% buckwheat crepes, but it is not suitable for celiacs due to cross-contamination. I therefore advise those affected to abstain, despite the recommendations on certain blogs.
I haven't eaten there and I have no doubt that the cuisine could be good. However, for a creperie that claims to be “gluten-free”, the level of information and food safety remains insufficient.
Delicious Gluten-free buckwheat crepes. Can be made both savory and sweet. The savory was tastier than the sweet crepe. The sweet crepe might be a little too sweet for my taste.
People with celiac disease can eat here with peace of mind. The cookies, made with buckwheat, called blé noir, were exquisite, with a lot of mixture. The burgers and the buckwheat bread also melted in the mouth, soft, spongy and not at all heavy. Very good too. Very fast service. Not expensive despite its great location (in the same port)
Meal this Saturday noon. Dynamic and warm welcome. We ate very well and were served quickly. I eat gluten-free and cow's milk protein-free and for once my order was taken without scowling at me, with a lot of patience and kindness. I highly recommend.
On a route through French Brittany we went to this restaurant. The waiter speaks Spanish and in any case they do their best to serve you. They have a menu with salad, cookies, dessert and coffee or tea, and most importantly for celiacs, a gluten-free option!!! Very good price and quality.
Crepes to die for, with the super original possibility of choosing the cooking method. I ate the best salted caramel buckwheat crepe of my life there (because all dessert crepes can be gluten-free buckwheat). Extremely fast service. Small problem (the only one): the servers seemed under pressure the day we went there. Personally, I prefer a more relaxed and calm service even if it takes a little longer.
“Le Petit Galet”, a great discovery before going to Fort La Latte. Warm welcome, fast service, decor mixing old and modern 🤩
Quality local and homemade products (gluten-free, allergens indicated...), everything was excellent and a special point for desserts, ice cream, far Breton and kouign-amann!
Thank you for this meal break, an address to remember!
Nice atmosphere and decor, varied menu and great products. The buckwheat pancakes are cooked on plates separate from those where the wheat pancakes are cooked and are therefore gluten-free, with a minimum risk of traces. Sweet pancakes can also be prepared on a base of buckwheat pancakes. For someone intolerant to gluten, having so many choices, with confidence, is great!
A real favorite!
This creperie is a gem. The pancakes are tasty, well garnished and prepared with fresh products. 100% gluten free 😀
An address not to be missed if you are in the area!
Friendly and inviting staff in a cute and cozy cafe!
The food was delicious, was cooked perfectly, and just enough. We had the Australian crepe and it was delicious!
Perfect for our coeliac family member who can have the buckwheat pancakes with no issues, which were surprisingly delicious!
Great creperie, would recommend to others, especially those with coeliacs. Thank you very much for our lovely food and service :)
Lost at the tip of Armorica
Typical creperie in a magnificent location
Very warm welcome and more for someone who is gluten intolerant
Adapts to his diet and demonstrates his way of cooking
Very good buckwheat crepes, place not to be missed
One of the best gallettes I have ever eaten and gallettes for dessert too. This may sound like gallettes overload, but I can't eat crêpes due to gluten intolerance.
Great little creperie ideal for those with gluten intolerance! (Buckwheat and spelled crepe) in the center of Quimper in a beautiful little street.
The crepes are delicious, I had the chicken which was very good and never seen on any menu!
For dessert, a surprising mixture of frangipane and caramel on a crepe, it was very good.
Excellent creperie!
Very welcoming owner, excellent brie + fig pancake and pear almond chocolate pancake.
I also really appreciate the gluten-free guarantee for the pancakes.
Go there with your eyes closed!
Delicious creperie
Top notch welcome
Everything is indicated for gluten-free
Homemade ice creams and sorbets to die for with an extra star for the non-alcoholic mojito and pink lychee♥️
Very warm Breton creperie. Our hostesses have a sense of welcome
Pancakes are re-invented with great audacity.
Wheat and buckwheat flour pancakes (gluten-free)
The desserts are a gargantuan cup of raspberry meringue and the homemade lemon cream crepe is divine 😋
Excellent creperie
The pancakes are very good, a special mention for the ouessantine and the shot of whiskey that goes well with it, the buckwheat at the top with the buckwheat ice cream, top for those intolerant to gluten,
Sublime decoration with paintings
Very friendly staff
Dynamic team
A special mention for Diane (and her horse😉)
I highly recommend
Please note, reservation required
Vegan and gluten-free options! A rare occurrence in Britanny. The galette is vegan and gluten-free, and for savory toppings, the "Terre et Mer" and "Au tout du monde" are both vegan and gluten-free. For sweet toppings, you will need to take galette as the base instead of crêpe, and the sugar, fruit, nuts and maple surup are all good. The chocolate and caramel have dairy in them so it's a no go. Ask your waiter or waitress to be sure. Make sure you specify no butter for cooking. The galettes were very good and the service was quick considering that the restaurant was full. There was only 1 waitress and you could see she was a bit pressed for time, but she was sweet. I would recommend stopping by!
Excellent time, it's good, the setting is pretty, the welcome is warm. Being gluten intolerant, I benefited from a preparation just for me, wonderful. I recommend 😊😊
Gluten intolerant and not by choice, I was able to eat a ribeye and fries + dessert.
I went to several restaurants that offered gluten-free, none of them were able to make this dish for me (fish or salad or nothing)
I will go back with pleasure it was good.
Tasty galettes and crêpes, plus a menu that catered well for gluten and dairy allergies. Good variety of drinks. Usual price for a crêperie. Favourite restaurant in Le Conquet
Loyal customers since 1990!!! Mickael welcomes us every year with conviviality and friendship as well as his team. The pancakes delight us more and more (I am intolerant to gluten and the team does not hesitate to offer me "arranged" ones). next !!
Great welcome as always and a gluten-free hamburger with 2 delicious little buckwheat “pascades” as bread (Occitan term for small diameter salty crepes). A must-have of the place which offers in addition to special or non-special pancakes various dishes. Enjoy!
We had an excellent time in this creperie that combines authenticity with choice. The cuisine is excellent and the welcome pleasant, all for a more than decent price.
Ps: Eating gluten-free is possible here, thank you buckwheat! 🙂
Very tasty gluten free galettes! I told the waiter that I couldn’t have the crepe in the menu as I need to eat gluten free and they very kindly substituted that with the gluten free option
Very good creperie. Good choice of Lancelot beer. Gluten-free crepe which may explain some of the comments. A wide choice of toppings for pancakes. Good products at very affordable prices.
Very pleasant new space, still with this magnificent view of the Lilia coast (arrive at the opening to be in front). The cuisine remains the same, varied choice of Sarazin pancakes (gluten-free), all excellent and for dessert the wheat ones 🤩 with a specialty... the chocolatine 🥳
And always a warm, smiling welcome and service. Our favorite creperie in the region 👍 I recommend, remember to book in advance.
An extraordinary dessert, a buckwheat pancake, apples, caramel, whipped cream, smiles, a very gentle welcome, very nice. 5 years gluten free and it's the best dessert I've had since. THANKS.
If you want to avoid tourists (I am one) quiet atmosphere with not 10,000 people like you.. fast and efficient service. Good cooking. Gluten-free options. I ate too much but that's my fault. Good value for money
Attention celiacs: blé noir galettes, only with buckwheat and be careful with the allergen issue. Very good. The sweet version is no longer for us because they are made of normal wheat. The wonderful views.
A TREAT. A superb discovery, being well accustomed to Breton creperies, it is one of the best addresses we have visited. The pancakes and pancakes are delicious, crispy and tasty.
The staff is really friendly and smiling, we had a great time.
Special mention for the M&m’s pancake which I will remember for a long time…
+ Adapts very well to a gluten-free diet (sweet pancakes adaptable on buckwheat pancakes!)
We ate as a family. The super friendly treatment, the waitresses always serving with a smile and the quality of the food excellent, being super understanding with the language barrier. Finally, all cookies are gluten-free, suitable for celiacs. Thank you so much!
Full room arrivals, without reservation. We were welcomed within 5 minutes.
Very friendly and attentive staff.
The kitchen made me a gluten-free dough and took care to avoid allergens. It's rare!
And the mustard vinaigrette was very good!
THANKS !
Pure Buckwheat pancakes perfect for my gluten intolerance. Local products, artisanal cider, pancakes cooked in front of us.
A big thank you to all the team.
The crepes are outstanding! Our server gave us the best service. We truly could not be happier to have chosen to dine at this restaurant. I cannot wait to go back!
Be sure to reserve a table ahead of time! They fill up quickly! They are gluten-free friendly.
