2 Fore Street Restaurant

We thought we would pop in here for lunch on recommendation from the gift shop next door. As it as was raining we went in early for lunch 20 mins early to be exact. I asked for a cuppa to warm myself up but they only had oat milk, I’m gluten free and lactose intolerant so it was a no for hot drinks. Because we were early for like lunch we sat down for alcoholic drinks. It was pretty empty. At 11.55 they asked for our lunch order we said we would like a couple of drinks first. They weren’t happy. Both waitresses were very surly, not friendly and kept rolling their eyes in their head because we wanted drinks first. They pushed us to book a table which we did. We realised we weren’t welcome and I said to my hubby why eat here when they can’t be bothered to be welcoming and their service was rubbish. Not one of them smiled or made us feel welcome. After two gins and beer we walked out and went to the Ship Inn who were much more welcoming. Lunch was amazing. Dont go there if you’re not interested in good customer care. Overall, I'd say overpriced and not the most welcoming restaurant. If there are other places open, go there.

Lovely sea food restaurant located right next to the harbour in Mousehole. This is some of the best seafood I have ever had. Great fresh ingredients and tasted amazing. There was a gluten free menu available and most of the dishes were available in gluten free or could be adapted. I have pan fried Squid for a started and the Hake risotto for my main which was delicious. Friendly staff and a nice chilled out atmosphere I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the Mousehole, Penzance, Sennen or Lands End area.
