Reaching a little on 4 star, but the flavors were on the money. Please read past the bad because there is potential and the flavors are on the money. There is a lot more good than bad anyways.
I think the problem is that when I go to Indian restaurants it seems that they won't throw food out if it is lower quality, and buffets kill food. Even in the pic the palak paneer is brown. Just use smaller pans! Don't put so much in there. The rice was a little overcooked, but as I ordered delivery so I don't know how they store that. Also, the naan was too heavy. It didn't seem to have ridsen enough, and it seemed overworked, bringing out all is those glutens. Chewy...
Now that was all of the bad. It might seem like a lot, but other than the naan, those things happen, and I wouldn't let it stop you. I would actually encourage you to eat here, and let them know what you think, but please, always compliment more than complain. Day 3 hours things and then day one thing that you would like to see improved. No one wants to work 14 hours and hear complaints, and that is the life, especially if a chef owned or family owned restaurant, and you will get better results that way. You want a cherry to see you and smile, if he doesn't, with on that (or eat somewhere else!)
As for the different curry( by that I mean sauces, not just the yellow stuff) they all seemed right on point. The floral scents of the cardamon, the earthy cumin, everything was in balance. Everything was ordered hot, and while the lady eating it thought that it was a little too hot, I thought it was perfect. It was hot, but it was the kind of hot that slows you down, and forces you to enjoy it more, not the hot that peels the paint off of walls! If you are sensitive, order down, but if you like heat, go for it. I don't think I would go beyond spicy. If you tell them to really heat it up, you had better be prepared.
All in all, it was really good. I am ordering for the second night in a row. I have been deprived of an Indian restaurant for too long. I think that they will iron those little issues it anyways.
I wonder if they have those little balls soaked in rose water syrup? Man those are good. I think I need to go take a sip of straight insulin just thinking about them!
