We went as a group and were seated on an enclosed patio. It was also quite windy. It’s a metal frame with plastic sheets for the walls. There were ceiling heaters, but on a 30 degree night, it was cold out there.
I asked the waiter for suggestions on a gluten free dinner. He said anything can be made gluten free. I ordered the “gluten free” Chicken Parmesan.
A few hours later, I was quite sick. I had absolutely been glutened.
The next day I spoke with Alex, the manager of Amici’s. I told him about my experience. He said the meal had been made to my specifications and was gluten free. I repeated that I had become quite sick. He said the meal was made to my specifications and was gluten free. I said thank you and goodbye. He said goodbye. He was quite cold. No responsibility was taken. No apologies for a miserable night.
If you are celiac or even gluten sensitive, I recommend you find somewhere else. Not everything can be made gluten free. If you believe that, you should not be in the food industry.
