Last Thursday we called the restaurant three times to ask if they had gluten-free options, and they confirmed on all three occasions that they did, specifically pizza and pasta, among other options. Today we arrived at the restaurant and, when we asked for the gluten-free menu, a guy told us that they don't have gluten-free pasta. I asked him what other options there were, and then a woman came over, very unpleasantly and defensively, giving us life lessons and saying that the only thing they could offer was gluten-free spaghetti (according to the cook).
When I showed surprise, I asked her if the spaghetti was really gluten-free. She went back to the kitchen and, after a while, she told us that no, that the only option available was a sad caprese salad. At this point we were already quite confused, but we tried to stay calm. When we ordered, I asked for the caprese salad, and the guy told us that they didn't have burrata. In other words, the only option they give me is a salad and they can't even offer it properly.
We suggest that they could at least make an effort to adapt some other dish (for example, a risotto), but they tell us that it's not possible because everything is already prepared with gluten. Finally, the only option they offer us is a salad with goat cheese. When we very politely ask if, given the situation, they could do something with us (like invite us to the salad, for example), the woman's response is "You pay for what you eat" and, on top of that, she accuses us of being aggressive, shouting at us in front of the entire restaurant, when at no point did we lose our temper.
Frankly, it has been a horrible experience. Not only is the lack of gluten-free options unacceptable (especially after having assured us otherwise three times over the phone), but the treatment we received has been unjustifiably unpleasant and offensive. If you are celiac or have any other special dietary needs, avoid this place at all costs. A huge disappointment.
