We had an amazing time! Absolutely the best experience.. the lobster is perfect; not rubbery, you can taste that it was steamed in fresh water, healthy, fresh, fat lobster, real butter ... Absolutely delicious! The oysters were incredible!! I eat oysters on the half shell every chance I can and these were amazing .. so fresh, no concerning flavors, perfect size, local Maine oysters and so good!! I also got the Wedge salad which might have been the best wedge salad I've ever had with perfect chunks of blue cheese, pickled onions, onion jam, sweet cherry tomatoes, ... my husband got the lobster bisque which had a potato base and it really allowed one to enjoy the delicate flavor of lobster, and the chunks of lobster meat .. and we had the most spectacular desert, a lemon curd ... absolutely wonderful!
The service was outstanding; Jojo was attentive and resourcefull, when she heard we are gluten free she had Tina, the executive chef come and to talk with us .. Tina was wonderful, so extremely kind and helpful and fun to talk with, and she does a phenomenal job because the food was absolutely delicious.
The ambience is traditional Maine with hand cut shake, local stone, local photos, but with a cool edge, cool music, and edgy but comfortable furniture, really a beautiful restaurant right on the water ...
If you want the absolute best experience of Maine lobster, this is the place. We usually go to Thurstons Lobster Pot and although we enjoyed it I am tired of waiting in line, rushing to order, no one is available to answer questions, fighting for a table, .. it feels more like being on a New York city street during rush hour, .. but some people enjoy that environment.
