Abigail's Cafe

Perfect place for breakfast in the heart of Lagos. We went without a reservation on a weekday at 11 a.m., a group of eight, and we had to wait for a table. The waitresses were very kind to us at all times. We ordered a bit of everything because we were quite hungry and the idea was to have brunch. We started with coffees and juices, which were delicious. Then we ordered various toasts and more substantial dishes. In my case, since I'm gluten-free and they didn't have gluten-free bread, I ordered a dish of scrambled eggs with quinoa and cheese. Everything was delicious and in good quantity. The price-quality ratio was a bit pricey, but everything in that area was similar.

This feels more of a trendy Hotspot - ideal for young hipster influencers. Cool atmosphere. However, the gluten free egg bowl was a bit underwhelming, looked put together a bit sloppy and eggs were thin and not appealing. Something tasted a bit off, perhaps tomatoes were going sour. Very pricey for area, for what you get. Spinach leaves tasted like bagged spinach I buy in the United States - not home grown. Beet juice was good. Perhaps this place tries to be too American, and reminds me of it. If that's what you are looking for, it's perfect.
