We came here for some food before going to the daylight “light fright” at Barrett’s Haunted Mansion. (Check out the separate review).
It was my first time here in many years and at first I was nervous because nothing on the menu showed gluten free options. Then I realized they have a separate GF menu! It’s not very robust but it’s enough. I had a burger in a gf bun and I’m so pleased that it was soooo good and didn’t leave the bread soggy or falling apart as sometimes happens with GF bread. Note that many things are fried in a shared fryer. Not good for more sensitive reactions or celiac. I didn’t take the chance. But I was delighted that both my server and the cook brought these things to my attention. Also, fabulous drinks!
Speaking of my server, we had Brianna at the outside bar and she was nothing short of delightful, friendly and attentive. Also, the outside patio is fully decorated for Halloween and it provided lots of fresh air and light. Loved the patio!
The prices here are appropriate. It’s a large area establishment with lots of seating options for big or small parties, singles or couples. I found the place to be clean and easy to mop over around. There are some steps to get in but there is also a ramp at the back right near handicap parking.
I imagine this establishment is also LGBTQ friendly. Didn’t get any indication otherwise.
Overall, we spent a few hours here and it made for a lovely afternoon. If you’re ever visiting the area, the Cape or Boston or East Coast MA, stop in. It’s worth taking a little drive off the major highways.
