However, logistical coordination seemed lacking, despite accurate order fulfillment. To elevate the overall experience, refining synchronization among staff could contribute to a smoother operation. Despite these logistical observations, the cookies themselves were a delight – consistently fresh and delectably tasteful. Insomnia's commitment to inclusivity with vegan and gluten-free options is noteworthy, catering to those with dietary restrictions. Admittedly, wait times can be extended during peak hours and concurrent baking sessions, but the allure of enjoying warm, soft, and freshly baked cookies is a worthwhile indulgence. UPDATE: An employee or manager who wasn’t there when my order was packed called me about an hour after I received the wrong order and wanted to make it right. That’s excellent customer service, and I’m updating my review accordingly. Thank you to the nice lady working at 9:45pm on 21-Jan-2024 who really cared about helping me out. Keeping the original text though to warn people to be very vigilant if they order and have an allergy! Original text: Apparently the employees lack basic reading comprehension because they don’t know the difference between gluten-free and vegan. I have celiac disease and cannot have gluten without getting severely ill. I ordered a bunch of cookies for my boyfriend and I, including three of their gluten-free chocolate chip for myself. Well, the order came and had a big “Vegan” sticker. I opened the bag and saw what is clearly their vegan chocolate CHUNK cookies and not their gluten-free chocolate CHIP cookies. I’ve had them before so I know what they usually look like and even compared to the website, confirming that they were the vegan chocolate CHUNK. I have a freaking food allergy. Vegan and gluten-free are not having interchangeable terms. And even if they were gluten-free, they packaged them in the same box as my boyfriend’s cookies UNDERNEATH the normal cookies so that they would be completely contaminated with gluten anyway! Entire order and evening ruined. Absolutely wild. I called the phone number and was sent to corporate, who said she tried to call the Baton Rouge location three times to confirm if they were vegan or gluten-free without getting a response. Luckily she just refunded me because I was certain they were vegan and not gluten-free, but jeez.
