Adorable French Bakery

What a charming place! I was familiar with their delicious products from their booth at the Farmer's Market, but I just recently discovered their brick and mortar in Scott's Valley in the old Malone's (which they have renovated very tastefully and understatedly.) The servers were friendly and the food was great. We wondered why more people weren't there! It's a welcome little bit of France in our town. Also really appreciated the gluten free items, which are always good! And there's outdoor seating, too.

My thoughts about the Adorable French Bakery opening a brick and mortar location in Scotts Valley? FINALLY! I love the what they have done with the previous space -lighten and brighten it and make it their own. The fireplace is a cozy welcome on a chilly morning. The outside patio is expansive and feels like you can spread out, but they did not compromise the aesthetics. I have always been a huge fan of the AFB’s baked items- my top 3 recommendations are the cream puff, berry crumble and French tart. They offer more than a few gluten free options and i forget their gluten free. My favorites are the apricot pistachio tart and the raspberry tart. The Swiss cake is delicious, but go for it when you are in a glutinous and indulgent mood-it’s rich! If you are craving a a tasty but not fussy salad come here, the dressing delivers and is it overly ambitious. Recently I enjoyed a satisfying Butternut squash soup and was happily surprised to find they included a little bacon in it. I look forward to what they are going to do.
