The Vegan Burger was a black bean nightmare…
1) As I bit into my veg burger, black bean slop poured out the sides.
2) The bun it was on was horrendous, gluten-free cardboard. I’m not sure why the gluten free bun had to be dragged into the vegan option. The server didn’t seem to know the difference between the two when I asked about the bun and why it was so strange.
3) It was drenched in a strong vinaigrette that was extremely overpowering.
If the chef can’t pull off a black bean burger, maybe they could offer a beyond burger patty option instead. Leave the gluten-free stuff as a separate option too…
Otherwise, the experience was OK - it is very much like a sports bar. Service was mediocre, the server did the bare minimum. It was very loud and difficult to carry a conversation. The truffle fries were great, but we won’t be back.
