Aldino at The Vineyard - Italian Restaurant In San Antonio

Been smelling this place while in the area for years. 👃🫦 Finally decided to have dinner and now I'm kicking myself that we didnt go years earlier 🤦‍♂️ We were greeted by the friendly staff and seated immediately. Our waiter, Chris, was super helpful and personable. He explained that everything is made to order and near anything can be made gluten-free or to accommodate any craving. The ambiance and vibe was a lot more casual than I have been imagining for all thise years. Very inviting decor and vibe. The bread came out first which they serve with garlic olive oil. It was simply... 🤌 omg whooaah 🤤 I nearly filled up on bread before my main dish came out. I had the Halibut in a lemon wine sauce which was light and delicious. My wife had the lamb shank, which she allowed me to taste. It was a dark sauce full of flavor. Chris and the rest of the team was extremely attentive and made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed the whole way through. It was my MILs birthday and they surprised her with a nice plate of cheesecake which was probably the most interesting dessert ive tried in a while. Its a sour cream base with a lemon sauce, served with strawberries. I didnt love it, but also didnt dislike it...? I kept finding myself going back for another bite. I will definitely be back soon and I'll be recommending this place to anyone craving Italian or looking for a solid restaurant experience. Im eager to try the lasagna or chicken parm next!

Food is always delicious and fresh, and the prices are great. The front of house staff are always pleasant and welcoming. My husband and I have noticed that you can get a meal here for about the same price as mcdonalds, but instead of a greasy burger you get fresh food and great service. Tons of gluten free options as well. It's our only and favorite date spot
