Alebrije

I’ve always loved Alebrije at Nvr Nvr, but this is next level. The menu is small, but everything is amazing. Great Agua Frescas and really incredible tacos. The Huarache was unique and delicious, I’d never had anything like it before! Also almost the entire menu is gluten-free/friendly and the server was knowledgeable about dietary restrictions. Can’t wait to come back!!

I loved the food here! It's authentic, delicious, and priced right. I had the carnitas tacos and shared the pozole with my wife. The carnitas were excellent and the pozole was very good too (I'm partial to my homemade pozole). My wife had the mushroom-based tacos which were also really good. They don't serve alcohol here (yet) but their aguas frescas were to die for. Also, most of their options are gluten free which is required for my wife who has Celiac. The only items on the menu that aren't gluten free are those that touch the fryer because of cross-contamination. The molé enchiladas were also not GF. There was only one server for the whole dining room (which isn't very large) but she did an amazing job. The service was quick and she was very friendly and attentive. We tipped extra because of that. We definitely will be back soon.
