Alfio's Buon Cibo

We went here the other day and had a great time and a delicious meal. Our server, Corinne, was great. She answered all of our questions and was super knowledgable on the food and drink menus. She definitely made us feel special during our visit. The food was also fantastic. We both got steaks, my husband loved theirs, but mine was a bit overdone if I'm being honest. The cheesy potatoes that came with them though were amazing! And the desserts are super creative and equally as delicious. Whoever is responsible for those deserves a huge pat on the back! The cheesecake will live rent free in my mind forever. I would give the desserts six stars if I could. The only critique we have is the lack of gluten free options. I would dock a star for this (and the overdone steak) if the desserts and service didn't make up for it, but I do think it's important to mention. I feel like most Italian restaurants in the area offer a pretty extensive GF menu. We went to a place last year that handed my husband an entirely separate gluten free menu. Hopefully Alfio's can do the same in the future, because we really do love this place and would love to try the entire menu!

Let me start by saying that I’ve only had takeout from Alfios (staying safe during covid), and their takeout is the BEST I have had in the city. Tonight our takeout was even better than the previous times at Alfios - didn’t know they could even get much better! I got the pistachio crusted salmon and my husband got the braised beef rib. For dessert we had the deconstructed creme brûlée (gluten free). Everything was delicious and flavorful. We ordered earlier in the day ahead of time and Alfios had our order ready at the exact time we requested. Happy you are part of the neighborhood, and look forward to many more delicious Alfio date nights at home and/or in the restaurant!
