Amelia's 1931

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The place is beautifully decorated, resembling a 1930's speakeasy with cozy, elegant decor. We started with the Escargot and the Porkbelly and both were excellent. The Escargot did not disappoint. It came with six shells, plus crusty bread that I dipped on the left over oil and cheese: delicious. For cocktails, the Silk Stalkings and the Original Sin were ok. Strong in liquor but did not have a bold flavor; with the Original Sin tasting more like a margarita than apple. The Tiramisu was a generous portion with a bold coffee flavor and authentic cream. Service was exceptional. Easy access from the street. Vegan options available (salad). Several gluten free options available. Would love to return and try other fare.

Update 9-14-24: amazing service, drinks, and food once again! Kevin was an awesome server and so friendly. He also took care of making sure to make my meal and preferred dishes accessible despite my gluten sensitivities. A very pleasant date night once again 😀 We visited last night, and Amelia's recent reboot is amazing. It was so pleasant to walk in to a time warp with a modern day speakeasy vibe. Bravo on the excellent design and decor that includes family heirlooms. As for food, drink, and service...Willie was a wonderful server and the food was delicious as expected if you are a fan of this family and their restaurants, Islas Canarias and Finka. Our party of 4 had a variety of dishes we shared...and every dish was hands down good. I love a place with awesome house made craft cocktails...A+! Make sure to order Timba for dessert...their modern twist on the traditional "guava con queso" was too good and left me wanting more. Can't wait to go sit at the bar for date night!
